A wonderful B&B. We had a large room in the basement away from all the other guests, which was double-glazed so no noise from either inside or out. Very welcoming, warm atmosphere and owner very helpful about places to visit etc. Would definitely re-book if go back to Edinburgh.

We loved Denise! We appreciated how she left food for us even before the specified serving time for breakfast. The dining room was sooo charming with the tea cups and the wall decors, absolutely adorable! The Scottish breakfast was delicioso! PS. Please fix the drainage in the shower of Room 1. We rate Martin's Guest House a 9.9!

Wonderful B&B The room was great we had a en suite which was great although the bathroom was a bit tight. Although the B&B is only a 20 min walk into town after a night out it seemed a bit to far to walk and the buses stopped early on a Saturday night so we ended up in a couple of taxi's. The breakfast was amazing smoked salmon, full English, pastries were all available. The staff were great when we could get hold of them but as a b&b they were often not around. All in all a pleasant stay.

We've spent a wonderful time at Martin's. The stuff is utterly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and the location is in good walking distance to the city centre. We think we couldn't have made a better choice!

The staff were friendly, relaxed and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay, the room was large and comfortable and good value for money. Breakfast hours were a bit too early for us - especially on weekday mornings but there was a good choice of food on offer. It was easy and cheap to get to the city on the bus and an airport bus runs from nearby - although it takes ages, beware!

We had a wunderfull stay. Even if you decide to take one off the rooms without shower & toilet... your room is perfect. Nice location. Not in the citycenter but nearby. Lovely host. Perfect breakfast!

Had a very comfortable room in the charming guest house. Breakfast was very delicious as it was self-made by the owner. Staff incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially Denise (thanks!). It's convenient to get to Martin's by bus no.10 from Princes Street, stop at Merchiston. You'll need exact change on the bus, if you don't want to pay too much (1.20 for a single ticket).
