Perfect location! By foot: 10 minutes to Baleal Sul (famous surf beach in Peniche), 5 minutes to the supermarket (open even on sunday), 5 minutes to the bus station! Really nice atmosphere, the stuff (Pedro and Filipa) are very friendly! Really recomend this hostel!
The best hostel in Peniche, especially if you come there to surf. You can see two of the surf spots directly from the hostel and quickly decide whether to go out or not. Owners are really friendly and helpful if you have any questions. Place is very clean with a big living room and a kitchen. There is also a terrace on the roof with barbecue. It is a small hostel, so it feels like family, there is always someone to hang out with, go surfing or partying. Surf spots are walking distance away.
Best Hostel I ever stayed!! Very cosy and close to th beach. The people are so nice and you have a great ambience :-) It's like a big family
Near the beach, ideal for surfers, no party hostel, no program but nice anyway. Cool roof top!
The hostel is a flat in the 10th floor and from the rooftop you have a great view over Peniche. Its very close to the beach, just cross the road. I arrived quite late and called them to pick me up but I wasn´t at the bus station but at a bus stop somewhere in the village. It took a while but finally they found me. Thanks so much again for that. I would have been lost.
I feel in love with Peniche and Martins lodge played a big part in that. By far my favorite hostel I have stayed in. Its run by a friendly young couple who gave us great tips about where to go and what to do during our stay. The small size of this hostel also ensures that everyone knows everyone else staying there, so there was always some fun-loving people to meet and share in a good time or adventure. Martins lodge is the only hostel I will stay in, next time I go to Peniche.

Awesome hostel highest recommendations for anyone traveling to peniche. The views are 5star looking over all the beach and town. Mins from the beach by foot 5mins walk from the centre of town. Pedro and Fillipa are the greatest hosts. If your staying in peniche this is your hostel!!!
Really good stay here. Nice and quiet. Close to the beaches and close enough to town! Everyone was really nice and made me feel welcome.
Easily the best hostel I have ever stayed in the UK or Europe. Filipa and Pedro are amazing and make you feel like you are home away from home here. It's so close to the beach, the surf and the town is the perfect distance that you can relax the whole time. Thanks for everything! I'll definitely be back!
If you came to surf to Peniche it's perfect, you can see Supertubos from the window. Very nice staff. Pedro and Filipa are great, Filipa even went out with us to Baleal and we had a very nice time. It's an apartment turned into a hostel, very clean and comfy. Good kitchen very well equipped. 2 guitars to play which is cool. Also, the hostel is in the highest floor of the tallest building in Peniche, so it's really easy to see if from far away and you'll never get lost. Recommend.
Martin's was a cool place to stay, best thing is you can check the surf at supertubos and baleal from the roof or loungeroom. Pedro and Filipa are really friendly/helpful. Kitchen well equipped and loungeroom comfy with pay tv. Wifi works well. Downside no lockers, fair walk to anywhere to shop/go out, extras all cost eg laundry, wetsuits 20 euro a day, bus to baleal 8 euro, all add up, also one shower is tiny and the other didn't work. Overall would stay again especially if on a surf trip.
Pedro and his son Martin are the best!
