If you stay on a four people room they wont provide you any key or locker and the room stays open to anybody.

Great location, poor breakfast, staff is great, worst bed in 6 month travel, pillow and mattress are wrapped in plastic, it was a nightmare to sleep if you could.

friendly and helpful staff. good internet, kitchen and TV room. nice breakfast in the morning. the large dorm is next to the road so can get very noisy and the beds cant very nice to sleep on as the have a plastic coating. it can get cold in the hostel at night but the beds have good blankets. all in all a nice hostel.

The hostel it's too expensive for what it has to offer. It was the most expensive hostel we booked, during our trip in Colombia, and at the same time the worst. We booked a double bedroom with private bathroom but the shower didn't work. The bedroom and the common spaces are not very nice. And the staff did not give us much tourist information. I wouldn't recommend it. Es muy caro, y no tiene nada para ofrecer. El lugar es deprimente y el staff no te da info turística ni son muy amigables..

The hostel was in overall very good. It lacked a bit of youthful atmosphere. It definitely isn't a party hostal (if you are looking for that), but the location is outstanding and compensates for this. Bathrooms and facilities are OK.

Neutral hostel experience. Quiet and clean hostel. Good sleep. No hot water upstairs.

Bed and room were kind of dingy. I understand there is a price for privacy, but 65,000 COP is not all that great for a dirty room and bed which is about to crumble to dust.

When I arrived to Bogota I have personally visited several hostels before checking in and hostal Martinik appeared to be by far the best value for money. It was clean with friendly atmosphere plus the staff was ready to help me with any of my sometimes strange requests. It felt also very secure so I left my big bag in the hostel storage room and found it exactly in the same place and same condition after returning several weeks later.

The single room is nothing special, very small and a plastic pillow and matrass, which weren't comfortable. I won't recommend it...Not in particular good value for money. The hostel itself was nice, good location, nice staff and good facilities.

Slightly more mature atmosphere than some hostels, ie not just gap year students getting trashed (although partying is not a problem!) Great location, friendly staff, not overcrowded, free Internet, nice communal areas to meet people and hot showers. Great pizza place "craft" next door.

i don't understand how this hostel is rated so highly. a staff member tried to rip us off for a bottle of water, found most of them were stressed or unhelpful. wifi was average, didn't always work. would not stay here again.

It's really a pretty good hostel with great facilities, a big room with flatscreen, a room with Wii and tables for hanging out at and meeting other travelers. Two computers and WiFi keep you connected. They also sell a full range of convience items. It's also really easy to get to from the airport, you just get on the K4 bus and it drops you off right in front of the hostel. The free breakfast isn't that great. Overall though its probably the best value of any hostel I've stayed at.
