This Guest House is the best choice in Varanasi ! Dr. Papu is an excellent house and you really feel like home! rooms are great (Clean, safe and quiet) the location is also the best in Varanasi, close to the main spots but away from the touts and annoying stuff. Tip: Accept the airport pickup! is the best way to get into the city without paying extra to rickshaws and taxis. Lots of travelers have being there and they always leave happy! This guest house has a great family who are very helpful.Wonderful food and chai, good atmosphere. However, not very clean - walls were very dirty, not much bedding so bring your own. Too much money for what you get, but good experience with family. Tripti has nice clothes for sale. Bring mosquito net or use All-Out.This guest house has a great family who are very helpful.Wonderful food and chai, good atmosphere. Dirtest place we have ever stayed, would definately not recommend it, there are lovely places to stay around the corner. If we had not paid a deposit, we would have left. The roof top restaurant is non existant, the whole place is shabby and needs a total makeover, they do not know what cleanliness is. Electricity is turned off all the time, water seems to be short supply. The person running it, thinks we should pay tourist prices rather than local prices.

The staff of the hostel is o.k., but the rooms are clearly ovepriced and not very clean; the hostel is far from the ghats and it is not a good idea to stay there in the festival season - the location becomes very busy (even during the night) and this together with the loudspeaker from a nearby temple will not let you sleep. The hostel evidently relys on customers from Hostelworld, who do not have much choice while booking in advance (my case). I loved to stay with Papu and Tripti. They are wonderful people who I love deeply. They made my stay in Varanasi home like. They like my closest familily. Papu and Tripti organized everything for me so I didnt have to worry about anything. If I come back I will stay with them again. I loved to stay with Papu and Tripti. The roof garden is a nice place to start your day and they have one of the best lassi's we've tried. I was not impressed by the food though. Room is alright. I think that the stuff that the wife sold was overpriced (including the massage). The roof garden is a nice place to start your day and they have one of the best lassi's we've tried.
