The place has a very homely feeling. The kitchen and living room is very well suited for discussions and talks with other travelers alike. The staffs are very friendly and helpful! Although we didn't spend much time at the hostel itself because we were too busy with climbing Mt Kinabalu and water rafting, it was very comforting to know that we had a nice place to come to and rest our tired bodies.

Near the forest and close to the city center makes it very quite yet convenient for walking around. We really liked the Mt. Kinabalu posters across whole walls in the room, made it really nice even it had no windows. Basic breakfast, free coffee, tea and water all day, very nice common area if you need to take a break or work a little bit and really helpful staff. Will definitely stay again

The staff kept things clean. The older woman was a bit abrupt. The dorm sur conditioning broke and it was a sweatbox with no fan! All day brekkie was a nice touch and patrons cool.

Excellent hostel in KK. Spacious room and wonderful staff. I stayed in room 1, the AC didn't work so everyone in the room got 10 Riggit refund. All day breakfast is also good and very good social environment. Very clean and it is next to the bus station where people take the bus to Kinabalu Park.

Very clean place, with hot showers and friendly staff. Easy to socialize with other travelers in the living room/common room. I definitely recommend it for a good value-for-money stay in KK!

We'be been staying in hostels in Australia so we had our hopes pretty high for hostels in KK as well and we were disappointed. But I must say this hostel was the best we stayed at in Kk!

clean, quiet, cozy, including breakfast, cookies, fruit, milk and coffee.( not instant coffee, it's freshly ground coffee!). staff are so nice and friendly, he'll answer all of your question! they' also stay in deep night, they work for 24 hrs! i stayed in dorm room, 6 people. at first, i am afraid it would be crowded and noisy, but totally not! the room is big enough, and have 6 plug sockets! house keeping everyday, even change bed sheet every two days!

Masada is a small hostel. Most of the rooms surround the common lounge area. The breakfast is very good, more than in other hostels. There is free internet and the rooms are comfy. This hostel has some power points in the room. The showers and toilet combination is not so handy when a lot of people are taking a shower and you have to go to the toilet.

1.everything is fine but need more character on staff 2.would be better if the room limit to 4 person per room.its a bit stuffy n crampy with less secure for personal belongings due to spoilt locker

Great place for backpackers to stay, particularly solo travellers, as the centrally located common lounge is a good place to meet other travellers. Awesome facilities available, they had everything I needed from all day breakfast to a computer to plenty of available power points. Showers were always hot and available, lockers in room (free of charge) were ideal. The only reccomendation I would give is to maybe have a bunk bed in the female 3 bed dorm, as there was barely any floor space for bags

A solid hostel, showers are clean, coffee and snacks free of charge - common area quite ok, but unfortunately not designed in an open way which is much nicer in such warm countries

It is my second time stay in Masada, Great place to stay. I had an early plane to catch. They helped me to book a car. Unlike other boat/bus that I took in KK, which were usually late, Danny came, pick me up and drove me to the airport at exactly 4AM. Will definitely stay in Masada again next time I visit KK.
