Great rooms though no personal lamp. Good to have free drinking water and breakfast - had fruit! 5-10mins walk to the main busy street with other hostels and bars on it but not too bad as In the city which is all you need for tour pickups anyway! Staff super helpful. No laundry but good space to hang your own stuff up outside so no problem really.

We stayed here a few nights and didn't have any problems. Beds were comfy with 2 pillows each (!!), typical basic hostel breakfast, good wifi (although it went down on our last day), and showers were hot. We didn't realise there was a communal area upstairs until out last day though which was a shame!! Also has a good location, being a maximum 15 minute walk from most places. Staff were also friendly and were happy enough to give tips on where to go and what to see.

Really nice hostel with plenty of toast and fruit for breakfast, and free hot drinks from the machine.

Great staff, clean rooms, awesome breakfast (with hot cocoa and peanut butter!), and really nice atmosphere. Switches for toilets and showers are CRAZY complicated. Honestly. But it was sorta fun. Our private room had an 'airwick' air freshner that made us sick - especially considering that the room has no windows - but we found the switch to turn it off and then everything was perfect. Kinda nitpicky - but the light in the room is very harsh on the eyes because no lampshades.

Amazing hostel and an even better location

Stayed with two people in a twin room downstairs (they also have one upstairs, where we stayed at another night, but the one downstairs is nicer) and have no complaints. Clean room, plenty of pillows, comfortable bed, small lockers. Also plenty of power outlets...we enjoyed our stay!

Stayed that night in the four bed male dorm on the ground floor, the room is perfectly fine, air conditioner working great, bed comfortable. Since Kota Kinabalu is pretty small, there really is no place too far to reach by foot. Breakfast is nothing to wrote home about, but not complaining for what I paid.

One of the cleanest hostels I'd ever been to. Location and the staff were great. The A/C worked perfectly which is a must when it's so hot. Definitely would stay again.

I think hostel a bit too pricy. If a little cheaper, it would be perfect!!!

Nice dorms, AC, comfy mattresses and two pillows! There's also lockers and backpack space. The women who work there are very helpful and friendly and the breakfast is 24 hours and offers toast, cereal, fruit and crackers. The only downfall is that it is far from the city city, a 10-15 minute walk and with their price you can find a cheaper hostel on Gaya street.

Good facilities for money. Clean. Good breakfast. Helpfull staff. For those who are not really on vacation, lots of space to work. Internet connection is reachable everywhere in the hostel. However, internet not always stable. Tip. Better book 6 bed dorm. 4 bed rooms has no windows.

I had no complaints about Masada. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The people who stayed there while we were there made it a fantastic trip overall. Their breakfast selection is a little thin but no complaints.

Friendly staff, fast internet, nice private showers. A little bit loud for those of us who had a room near the front of the hostel, but everyone was very friendly and welcoming! They we willing to drive us to the airport very early in the morning at a cheaper rate than the taxi, and let us check in late at night which was amazing!

Nice hostel, clean and comfortable. Good location with everything you could need within walking distance.

Had a nice stay here, but the common rooms aren't really used or just don't feel really welcoming. So If you're traveling alone it's harder to get to know people. But I had a great stay after all.
