Great place to stay, read the reviews and they were spot on. 20min walk from the Ocean and markets. 5min walk from the city bus and long distance bus. Very clean place, friendly staff. I would stay again for sure

Good hostel, they offer coffee/tea/hot chocolate all day. Breakfast is included, the couch area was good for meeting people and the rooms are not too bad except they are a little cramped.

We loved to be at Masada Backpacker: staff is very nice and helpful, rooms are very clean, beds and room cleaned/made every day (!), nice atmosphere too. Very close to water front, shopping mall and if you do no mind walking, also not that far from Jesselton Point. We stayed in the family room (6 pax) and felt very confortable. Thank you Masada Backpacker!

Really good!!! Perhaps the best in KK. Just a little reminder, try to have it booked beforehand. Maybe today you are the only one in a dorm, but tommorow it might be fully booked that. If you don't have booking, you may need to move place. LOL~

The staff is nice, and they have 3 shifts a day, that means there would be at least one staff at the counter at anytime of the day. And they make beds everyday, in my own experience, that's pretty rare in hostels. However I think they need to improve the computer and internet linkage. They provide 2 computers, one doesn't work, the other is very slow( Intel Pentium 4!!). And the wifi is not stable also, there were times we could detect the signal but couldn't access the internet properly.

Wonderful hostel. I arrived in a storm and the staff were really happy and welcoming. They have heaps of information on traveling in Sabah and in KK itself and are always on hand to help out. The hostel itself is very clean and has a great atmosphere. The breakfast is good with a vast selection on food and there is free coffee/tea/hot chocolate all day.

Good tour options for solo travelers, pretty good location for trips to Kinabalu National Park and diving sites. Breakfast is included, but is only toast so you may have to venture around to find somewhere else to eat. Met some really cool people here, good stay for a couple of night.

I'd definitely recommend that the staff try to learn where good food can be found, especially Sabah-an specialties. Sometimes it's nice to start off being told "if you like delicious laksa that's popular for the locals, you can try this so and so spot."

Nice place! Felt safe, and my traveling companion and I had a nice room to ourselves. Breakfast room also nice.

I thought this place was great, hence returned, and extended my stay without any problems. It is extremely clean and fresh, staff are great, friendly, knowledgeable, professional, always willing to help. Breakfast available and tea and coffee available all day, which is a bonus, wifi was good too. The location is great, near the local bus stops and a 5-10 minute walk to shopping mails, and harbour, restaurants. Security was really good, a buzz system entrance exit doors, storage managed well.

Walls are like paper, we can hear everything from others rooms. But the facilities, especially breakfast is perfect. Many choices, tea coffee and Milo, with bread cereals and fruits. Never see that before. Definitely a good stay, just not easy to fall asleep :)

One of the nicest hostels I've stayed in SEA. Best coffee for sure and super clean but cozy...

The decision to have quality coffee all day is a good one. The staff are excellent and assisting travellers who arrive early is very very good. Not charging extra for towels is also appreciated.

I had a good stay there. Very clean, a comfy bed, free breakfast anytime and really nice and helpful staff!! The only downside was that WiFi was very unstable when I was there. All was good!!

Good stay in this hostel. Easy to meet people, very nice staff, good breakfast, free wifi/towel/locker, everything is very clean. It's close to the night market and the bus station, and not very far away from Jeesselton Point (boats & ferry).

We love the comfortable beds and pillows. Absolutely excellent location at KK City. Staff were really friendly and accommodating, too. And breakfast at any time? Sweet!
