Staff was friendly.Hostel has adequate facilities - Wifi, computers, cable tV- and washrooms/rooms were very clean. Free coffee and TV in the common pantry area, which is a nice touch as I stayed up late working on the laptop. No issues at all, definitely value for money stay. Location 5 mins walk from LRT (Pasar Seni)and local attraction Petaling Street

This is a great hostel. It combines all the prerequisites as listed above as well as has the family feeling. I will return.

Good location near metro station. Short walking distance to shops, food markets and some sights. Only one minus thin walls you always know what you neighbor do.

Nothing amazing, but this hostel covers every need and is perfectly located. Chinatown and metro at 2 minute walk and lots of places to eat cheap arround. Walls are thin, but it's still better than many other places. Rooms have only fans, but since there are not many windows and the A/C of the hallway is really strong it's usually enough. Cheap cloth washing service but very simple breakfast.

I prefer a hostel with NO television. It kinda kills the atmosphere. It would be nice to have a fan for the terrace since KL is very humid. All the staff were very helpful and all my questions answered with vigour and interest. Keep up the good work

The walls are paper thin so you don't feel any privacy listening to all the movements in the neighboring rooms. The single room I stayed in was tiny and windowless. The lack of natural light makes it a bit depressing. I would stay elsewhere next time.

The layout and what not wasn't explained to me when i first arrived I was just given my room key and told which bed and locker I had. It's pretty easy to figure out after a while though so there wasn't a huge need to explain it to me. After all the busy days in KL it was a lovely place to come back too, you can either choose to spend time in the common area or you can go straight to be as the two aren't linked. Most staff after 7 nights had learned my name and it was just a friendly place to be

The staff were the real stars of the show here and made our stay at the Matahari very enjoyable. Friendly, kind and very helpful- was a pleasure to meet them! I wasn't a very big fan of KL as a city if I'm honest but being in this hostel put a positive spin on my time there. Highly recommended if you are KL bound :)
