Older hostel. Not as nice as some places I\'ve stayed in while in Japan. Free internet. Good location if you want to make multiple trips to Dogo Onsen, but I little far from the central part of town. 20 min by cable car to train station. Doors are locked at 10, so don\'t stay out too late. Staff doesn\'t really seem to be around, but you are provided with everything you need. Didn\'t meet many people, although I\'m not sure how busy this place was. Good if you\'re looking for a quiet pla...More

It is probably best suited for school groups and families due to the daytime lock out and night time curfew.

It's pretty hard to find the hostel, and be prepared to walk up a big hill! The location is very close to the famous onsen and a shopping area. The person checking us in forgot that we had paid him even with our money right in front of him, and took some convincing, so that was scary. The showers automatically turn off after 20 seconds (you have to continuously push the button to turn the water on) and some were freezing. However, it's cheap and clean, so what more could you want?

The people who ran it were really nice, but it was very quiet. Location is right next to the Dogo onsen

A really top hostel, food service available, very large place with a library and various clean washing facilities. Very out of the way though, print off some good directions, I luckily got help from a cart puller and a group of women, without I would have turned back thinking I was lost.

A very nice hostel. Very nice staff. Good location near Dogo Onsen. The five-minute walk up a smooth road was not a problem.

The description how to find the hostel was a bit vague (8min from Dogo Onsen Station - but in which direction???) There are no keys for the rooms, but coin lockers for your valuables. Staff was friendly and helpful (even though not much English was spoken)

Excellently located to the Dogo Onsen and the local tram hub that will get you into town quickly and easily. Would be a little tricky to find on foot so take excellent directions!
