The worst hostel I've been. Dirty and cramped. More like a rat hole to me. I was there for one night. No lock for the room.. drunk man next door came in to our room at 3 a.m. and stole the shoes. Hot shower never worked. For only 1 night, I had it enough!!

8 person room was small and cramped for the cost, but I guess it's Zermatt. Rooms don't have locking doors so anyone can just walk in, but we do get tall (narrow) lockers. Ski room is inaccessible outside of office hours: 11 - 16:00. There's a fridge and kettle in the 'TV Room', which also has dining tables and armchairs. Sparky's pub is pretty good, I hear, but not cheap.

Bad manner of the reception man, dirty room,no kitchen,a lots of noise from the bar next door. The broken key cost me 20 dollars deposit and I even have to take all my valuable things with me all day, what a nonsense. The stupid check in and check out time.IS IT REALLY A HOSTEL?Or it's just a warehouse?

The staff's attitude is really bad. The room is tiny. And no kitchen.

Reading the other reviews, I was expecting something abysmal.. We weren't disappointed. We had a lovely room in the basement, underneath the entrance and next to the toilets.. The room resembled more what I'd expect in a prison, and we could hear everyone coming in and out, up and down the stairs. Hardest bed ever. A large group of students came back at 3 in the morning and kept the whole place up.. That said, it did turn into a good joke, and the toilets, shower and sheets were usable..

its needs to be renovated. Cleanliness is an big issue. Hostel is much more expensive than its actual worth.

It's a basic hostel in a great location. We were a group of 6 and everyone thought it was perfect for a ski weekend. The highlight is Sparky's bar on the ground floor. A great guy full of useful information. The food was excellent and drinks reasonably priced. I would definitely go back to stay in the summer for hiking.

This place was a joke to say the least, for the ones that are just looking for a bed to sleep at night its good. the place is very outdated, theres only 1 outlet per room of 6 beds which is very poor. for the first night i was there i came into someone trying to sleep on my bed, and it wasnt even his room stunk my bed up with his indian food smell yuck. breakfast dont jump up and down becuase its only cornflakes and bread. swizerland is very expensive warning you now, mcdonalds meal 14$.

The facility is very small&crowded. Although kind of expected given it's in Zermatt. The staff were good & friendly.

The rooms were too cramped. The walls, floors & ceiling are paper thin and it was impossible to sleep. We had the room above the bar and could hear people talking late into the night. The bedding was not sufficient for a cold Dec night. I don't even think they washed it. The ski equipment room was not monitored, anyone could've walked in and taken the equipment. If you try to take a shower anytime in the evening, there was no hot water. And the lady at the front desk wasn't friendly at all.

Nice enough hostel, not too much going on in the hostel while I was there. Good location, quick walk to the lifts/bars.
