The beds are alright for the low price you pay. But you should know that the whole hostel (front door and individual room doors) is UNLOCKED during the night. Exception: There are lockers for your baggage.

When we stayed here the room was freezing cold during the night and the only thing to keep you warm was a blanket so we had to sleep with all our clothes on. Then there was a problem with arriving after 21 when the reception is no longer open because you didn't get a key for the security lockers. The service of the people working there was horrible, not professional at all. The beakfast for the high price of 8 francs was nothing.

We loved this hostel and had a fantastic time meeting new people and hanging out! Unfortunately we felt like the security was lax with te door to our rooms no locking and the entrance to the hostel not in view of any staff. Still, we loved the place! The attached bar was also a plus though very expensive.

There is no hot water sometimes while showering. For a room for 7 people, there is only 1 power socket in room. Everyone has to charge one after another, it is unbelievable............. I had to come down to TV room to charge battery and it is not convenient and the room is extremely small ................

'kitchen' facilities were poor, they could at least have a microwave. Also my brother and I had to share a locker when everyone else in the room got their own, difficult with all the ski gear! Female staff on the rude side.

Security was awesome (everyone gets their own huge locker, big enough for several large backpacks). It's about a 20-25 minute walk from the station so that's kind of far, but not outrageous. It's crazy expensive relative to staying in a hostel anywhere else, but for Zermatt it's the cheapest you're likely to find. Hot water runs out almost immediately.

The staff was absolutely rude to me and the other people that I was staying with. The women at the front desk seemed extremely bitter about something. When I was asking about cheap places to eat in Zermatt, they told me to eat at there place. There wasn\'t a single thing on the menu for under 20 swiss Francs. It seemed like they were just trying to get more money out of me. Also the blanket that they used for the beds was like an itchy rug and i saw several mice in the room. Don\'t stay here.

My one complaint really was that the staff really seemed to push the restaurant a lot. When I first walked in I asked one of the staff where the check-in area was and he kinda just pointed then asked if I wanted to stop and have a beer or some food, while I still have my backpack and all my gear in my hands. Later when I'm actually checking in the staff asked if I wanted some breakfast the next morning for 8 CHF and I declined but was asked at least three more times during the whole process.

the 8 persons dorm room was unexpectedly crowded, people would just have to shuffle in and the heater was not working at all and the blanket was clearly not good enough... Also, the communal area didn't event have a microwave, which appeared to me that the hostel was just trying to get everyone down to their restaurant to spend another whole lot of money.

Just be aware that you must arrive AFTER 16:00. Nobody there before to check you in. If you arrive in the morning and what to ski, just leave your stuff in the station. Shower keeps going from too hot to too cold. Rooms stink.

Bad security - luggage left in common room, unattended. Location is far from the station. Reception unattended from 11 to 4pm. Rooms old and not clean. A really shabby accommodation.

Hello, Zermatt is a really remote village up in the mountain. We dont have any security problem in the hostel or/and in the town. We offer a free of charge luggage deposit, if you feel not secure you also have the possibility to store the luggage in the lockers at the train station. Best Regards

Check in woman was extremely rude and unhelpful. Staff did not change the linen on beds when old guests departed and new ones arrived.

The shower was cold, no kitchen, not light enough in the rooms, no curtain for the windows, and there is no lock on the doors. We had a drunk guy went into the room at midnight when everyone was sleeping in the bed.

The man in reception on Dec 2 night was very impatient. I felt very bad. The hill is very beautiful, and it is deserved to see.
