Nice hostel. No free wi-fi which for a first world country should be included.

The staff members here are extremely helpful. They tried their best to help out. They have their own veggie grow in their garden, you may take some for your meal. Kind of good.

The 'free internet' does not include wireless internet - you have to pay for that. There are two public PCs in the building. Towels are not included - renting an old towel costs 2 dollars. One of the two upstairs showers was broken.

We upgraded to a 'lodge' on arrival as the manager offered us this as an alternative. This was excellent. The standard of cleanliness throughout was very high, kitchen very adequate and the hostel very central to the town. Only downside was that there was only one washing machine and dryer, so we had to use the laundrette across the road.

One of the best hostels I stayed in during my New Zealand trip! The hostel was always clean and fresh, and very well situated in the town. The staff was helpful, responsive, and provided lots of information about good attractions.

I really enjoyed staying at this hostel. It had its own vibe, the staff was nice and very helpful, the herbs garden was a nice touch (fresh plums were delicious!), kitchen was simple but covered the basics and was clean, so were the toilets and showers. 7 person dorm was big with spacious beds. WiFi, while not free, was fast. Reasonable walking distance to everything in Wanaka. The only real disappointment was the lack of sufficient number of power outlets in the rooms (only one in the dorm).

Overall, this hostel was pretty good. there are good kitchen facilities and a nice eating area/lounge to meet fellow travelers. For some reason, it seemed to be especially easy to meet other travelers at this hostel. The only downside was that the reception/office hours weren\'t great. The office is closed from 12 to 3, which means if you arrive between those times, you basically have to either hang out there or find somewhere to put your luggage while you walk around until the office opens and you can get

Motel style hostel with airy ensuite room and fridge and bunks incase 4 people wanted to stay. Good location for town and parking just outside. Good communal space with 2 lounges (not told the code for the 2nd one) and kitchen although seating inadequate for all guests. Reception we felt were not all that helpful.

Lovely homely feel. Very close to the lake, shops & supermarket. Attracts people who are very sociable like backpackers & hikers but not party animals. Clean hostel with good kitchen & hot showers. Note they have sold the spa now. Id also recommend going to Uncle John's Pizzeria / Fish & Chips / Chinese takeaway for good value delicious meals just down the road to the lake.

Very friendly hostel. Had some great points and fun vibe; however, the door in the dorm room was incapable of locking. We had to leave the door open ): Not a good scene. Also my motorbike had a litre of some sticky beverage poured on it overnight. I dont think it is an unsafe hostel but probably wouldn`t stay there again due to the door not locking.

Staff was a little bit lost, and sometimes reception closed in the middle of the day for apparently no reason, so when I got there had to wait outside for 40 minutes to check in...
