Staff were super nice and helpful, the location was okay, not the best, safest area to be in. Room was super small, literally no room to sit or walk around. No breakfast or dinner.

Are you a tourist or a traveler? If you answered traveler you will find this hostel has all you need. The room is small and the mattress is similar to sleeping on a thermarest or camping mattress. There is a door on the bathroom. The free meals are good but not large. There is noise from the local apartments but it dies down early. If you want to get out and experience Maui and met local people, this is a great place. The locals and the staff were friendly and helpful. You get good value!

We rented the standard twin private for three nights. The room was very small (approx 7m2). The bed mattress is extremely thin and there was a lot of noise around with windows not shutting and no ventilation system. Moreover the room was full of ants around the toilet/basin area. There is nowhere you can sit down in the room and the bunk beds do not support more than 75 kgs for the top bunk.

Located a few miles from beach and Iao Valley. Access to kitchen restricted to when office open. Breakfast and dinner included, small portions, but good food.

This Hostel has no fascilities. The Rooms are very small.Perhaps 6qm for 4 persons. But every room has a bathroom. As we arrived, we found antz in all the beds. The staff gave us another room and sprayed out the room.the Free breakfast is just 1 small pancake and a egg and the dinner is just a small Portion. You have always the choice between 2 meals which are every Day the Same.and the personal of the restaurant is not flixible.the Hostel has no room like a Lobby or something and no Lockers! E

As a girl traveling alone, I didn't feel secure. It's not the best neighborhood on Maui and room only protected by a flimsy indoor-door lock from the parking lot. The free dinner has meat (which is fine since most hostels don't offer free dinner AND breakfast), but I wasn't able to eat the main dinners they served and there really isn't a market you can walk to. When I arrived they moved a guy out of my room who was a bit sketchy. After that I slept, but only cause I didn't the night before.

Nice and inexpensive place with just the best staff ever. As long as you have a car, the location is not bad. We were two girls together there, and we felt perfectly safe. Wouldn't stay there if I was planning to spend a lot of time in my room (small, dark room w bunker bed, no bathroom door but a curtain).

It is a hostel at the very beginning, but they still working on it every day. If you are a uncomplicated traveler it will be a great place to stay. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. I stayed there for 5 days and just liked it.

This property is supposed to be totally redone in the next 3-4 months. Don't go til then! Right now it is really just a bed and a very poor one at that. There is no commons room, the rooms are so small that you can't move, there is never anyone around to help you and the mattresses are so thin you feel like you are on wood. The place doesn't even have a single sign that tells the name of the place. It's attached to King's Restuarant in the back. They never emptied our garbage even once.

Just started as an hostel, don't have any facilities at all... pretty far from the beach, so you definetly need a car when staying here..

Owner Comment (Show)
Maybe you did not look hard enough for the kitchen and Tv room located on the first floor.
