Less than a 10 minute walk from the train, bus, subway stations. Within walking distance to attractions. The hostel had night life without being a "party" place. 24-hour receptionist added to the security. The staff anticipated what a traveler might need & were willingly to arrange airport shuttle, assisted with travel details, etc. Dorm rooms were furnished with huge lockers to accommodate backpacks or luggage. Bunk beds had individual curtains to offer privacy. Artistic use of space.
amazing experience! really enjoyed my time here and had great customer service!
Really nice and clean hostel. It's in the Jewish neighborhood so the food surrounding the hostel is awesome and cheap. My iPad was stolen (which is clearly not the hostels fault) and the staff allowed me to look through video surveillance which was nice of them. I would definitely stay here again, I don't really have any complaints.
I really liked the place, it was modern and in an amazing location - but the toilets were really disgusting (it may have been a one time thing but it should have been dealt with)
Great room and location however the staff were very robotic and non-personable. Almost very corporate-like.
This is a nice big hostel with an atmposphere more hotel like than hostel but located in one of the best party locations in Budapest. Staff is very helpfull, they offer laundry service. WiFi was slow and not really reliable at times
The absolute best hostel I've stayed at. Amazing location, the curtained beds are fantastic, common room is great with free apples and water and a landline (so you can call your mother). Just stay here. You won't regret it.
Maverick City Lodge was a great hostel. It was the second one I stayed in when I was in Budapest, and I liked it better. The location is great, especially for nightlife, and the staff were all really friendly. Facilities in general were very clean and new, but the public bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner, especially the showers. But overall I had a great time!
This is one of the greatest hostels in I've been so far. Quality price is amazing and the facilites are just great. The personal is really kind and willing to help you 24/7. Location is very good, the only thing beds are a little bit hard, and some rooms have a street windows so sometimes you can have some noise. But so far everything was great! Kitchen is a nice place to find cool people.
This hostel was great and has everything you need for a quick weekend get away or an inexpensive lengthier stay. They had a fully equipped kitchen with free tea and coffee which is super convenient if you want to make your own food. Also, there are a ton of restaurants and ruin bars right around the hostel. Felt more like a hotel environment than a hostel; lots of rooms and beds. It was definitely worth the money, very inexpensive and nice facilities, but not as homey as I prefer.
This is one of the best hostels I've stayed at. Amazing location for both nightlife and sightseeing. Reception was the nicest and most helpful that I've encountered in all my travels, and they helped make my stay in Budapest as great as it was. Rooms were cool looking, clean, and comfortable. If you are looking for a very social hostel to meet people I'm not sure that this is it, but for a comfortable, affordable stay in Budapest, this is the place to go.
Incredible value for money. I paid 6 euros for one night and then got 8 glasses of wine at the free wine tasting.
Maverick city is one of the best hostels I've stayed at in terms of value for money, facilities, location and cleanliness!! I felt so safe there and actually didn't want to leave! They give you a towel, a padlock and a swipe card upon entry AND you can call home for free using their phone and there's free computer and internet usage. The rooms and beds are MASSIVE and the tea and coffee was just a bonus. It's seriously amazing!
We absolutely loved this hostel. Feels practically like a hotel. Beautiful clean rooms, great kitchen, especially loved the pod style beds which gave us privacy. Organised great events and staff were super friendly and helpful. Could not have asked for more. Also LOVED the free apples in reception!
i passed a great time in Budapest, staying at this hostel i think was the best choice, very clean, located in a nice area full with young people transmitting everyone good vibes. And stuff was very friendly and polite. I will recommend this hostel to everyone interested in viziting this amazing city.

Everything in the hostel was great, except for the bathroom. The showers on the first level seemed to never be cleaned and didn't drain when the previous person had showered, you were essentially standing in a puddle of their filth. The wifi also isn't the greatest in the room, but works well in the lobby. I moved into another dorm, which was street side and got quite loud at night time. Other than these issue the hostel is great and the bar/restaurant has amazing food at good prices.

This was one of the nicer places I've stayed on my tour around Europe. Everything was clean, the staff was helpful if not overly friendly, the location was great for exploring the entire city on both sides of the river, the city map provided was a great guide for exploring the sights, the bedding pods were great privacy and the most comfortable I've stayed in, and I utilized the laundry service which was also great. There could be a bit more staff involvement/activities but otherwise, awesome!
