The hostel itself was very nice the only issue with the hostel was the construction in front made it difficult to find on the first time. I would recommend improving the directions. Saying to cross the street underground from the #7 bus stop and then it will be behind the green iron gate.

This place was SO nice. My boyfriend and I came here for a couple days while doing a trip through Europe and this hostel was definitely the nicest one. We were so close to absolutely everything- walked everywhere, except for when we took the bus from the train station, which happened to be the easiest thing ever and the bus stop was basically right outside the hotel. The staff gave us wonderful info about where to go and where to eat. I would definitely, definitely stay here again!

I stayed in a 5 bed mixed dorm. CONS The room was a small room with small single beds in liked up in a row, there is not much space between each bed (maybe 1 and a half feet) and also not alot of room for luggage. The beds were very basic and the lockers were small (just big enough for my day-pack). PROS Staff were good. Kitchen good with dishes and cutlery and dishwasher, shower also very large and clean. Location is excellant - next to underground and close to major sites.

If you stay on the 1st floor you get a good deal. On the second floor where I was the room was very crowded, tiny lockers with no padlocks , and no central lounge area to meet fellow travellers. One shower was not working. Staff indifferent.

We stayed in a double bed private. Mavericks hostel is excellent and I recommend you stay here if you're going to Budapest. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hostel was clean with excellent facilities and it is in an excellent location right next to the metro. We had a minor medical problem while we were there, the staff arranged for a doctor and were extremely supportive during the ordeal including the next day. I completely recommend Mavericks Hostel.

Great location, extremely friendly staff, and excellent price. Only complaint was the room and furniture looked pretty worn down and the shower drained so slow we had to continuously turn the water off while showering so it wouldn't overflow onto the floor.

Hostel was exactly how it had been explained and reviewed by others.we were in a private room and on the Saturday night the room next to us was a bit noisy coming home around 6 am but that's what you expect for a Saturday night and in a hostel.

Wonderful hostel in a charming old building. Great location, amazingly friendly staff who are very knowledgable and more than willing to help with anything. Enjoyed the wine evening on the Wednesday, very interesting. If I return to Budapest, I will be sure to return to this hostel. Great job guys!!

I booked a four people room. It is very disappointed that they added two single beds in a twin room. It is very crowd for four of us staying in a room. No more space for placing our lugguges.
