The room is kept very neat and the staff person is kind and responsive. Good location for taking part in local day tours and transfer to the airport. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Johannesburg.

A great hostel with lots of space and comfort. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to help you with any questions about the city or surrounding attractions. Will definitely stay here during my next trip to Jo-burg.

Patrick and Matthew made the trip! Great place to stay with even greater folks. Welcoming and warm, feels just like home! Thanks a lot guys! From the California guys + Tom

Can't fault the place. Was only me and two other people stopping there so they put me in a double room for the same price. Is more of a open house than a hostel but has a bar / pool table / pool.

More like a home than a hostel. Great access to airport, pool, bar and great tv room.

a mad place. small, just 1 toilet and shower, pool is green, no people, far away from everything. unfriendly and no chance to get help. had to leave after 1 night, suposed to get a lift to the airport but there was after an hour of waiting nothing. no checkout, no owner, no driver no nothing.. I can just recommend, dont stay there.. as I said, I had to leave after 1 night.. definitely better places in joburg.

Nice hostel with a pool. Good surrounding areas with nice Chinese and pizzeria. Airport pickup was also perfect and cheap. Patrick will sort you out with anything required. Would highly recommend Mbizi.

The hostel has only a few rooms, a nice kitchend, living room (with a TV, DVDs and books) and outside area. Everything is very clean and Patrick, the owner, is very helpful. The hostel is very far outside of Joburg, so you need one of the (pretty expensive) tours if you don't have a car and want to see something. A supermarket and a few restaurants are within walking distance. It is ideal if you need to sleep and/or relax, want fast and easy airport transfer, and don't care about seeing Joburg.

They have great garden inside and it's really nice place to chill. They are located in outside of city of Johannesburg, and it's almost impossible to go to sightseeing by yourself from there. However, they have good communication with many kind of travel guides, and can introduce you reasonable plan.(Anyway you'd better going around the city with reliable local in Joburg if you consider about safety.) The owner is kind and really supportive. Nice place.

I stayed in safety. Transfer from airport is R100, to bus station is R250 for a person. Maybe a good place for families/ groups with car.

A great start to my trip to South Africa. Patrick (the Owner) was great helping me plan my onward travel. He also booked my 4-day Kruger Park Tour and Jo'Berg/Soweto Tour for me. The house is comfortable and has a good vibe. Beds are comfortable, showers are hot, and bar is open. Airport pick-up was on time and half the price of a taxi. I highly recommend M'bizi when in Jo'Berg. Patrick will take good care of you.
