A very clean and homely hostel which is handy for the airport. Patrick the owner is welcoming, friendly and helpful. I had a comfortable stay here.

Ive traveled a lot and stayed in many hostels, this one is up there with the most best of them. The owner was extremely helpfull, before mBizi i had no idea what i wanted to see in SA nor if i had the time to do much. But after a few great nights in this comfy hostel i was on my way to see more of the country much thanks to the help of the friendly staff. I'll be back. Ed from Ireland.

It was a nice place to crash before or after a flight. I got a little confused getting there independently but they do offer shuttle service.

I was born in Jo\'Burg and would recommend staying outside of the city for safety reasons. This hostel is in a safe neighbourhood and conveniently near the airport. There is a large supermarket and several restaurants within walking distance. Patrick and his staff provide an inviting atmostphere and are very professional. All tours can be arranged through the hostel and we had a wonderful local guide chosen by the hostel- which is great as it supports the local economy. Come here for FIFA \'10...More

Mbizi is a really good spot - but its location is far from anything (same problem as most backpackers in Jo-burg, though). More of a guest house than a backpackers/hostel.

Only stayed for one night, a bit far away from center of Joburg and airport. A cheap alternative to the local taxi's can be booked. Good facilities (DVD collection, comfortable living room, 1 internet pc, free wireless internet), fully usable clean kitchen
