Excellent and helpful staff, very clean place, massive and secure (free!) lockers, well located in Phnom Penh. The place has games to play downstairs as well as a good bar and decent restaurant (though this means there is no self-service kitchen for use). The only real complaint we had was the desperate tuk tuk drivers, who made it frustrating and annoying to just be outside. (They're all over PP though so I can't fault the hostel for this) Definitely get the hostel to arrange a driver for you!
Has nice patio & restaurant to hang out in; good for meeting people. Staff at front desk can arrange all your tuk tuks and airport transfers. Close to the royal palace. Lockers are big and will easily fit your stuff.
The best parts of this hostel were the staff, especially the bartender, Kohsal. Nicest guy and great drinks. The facilities look beautiful, but the room was just ok. There was a water pump noise that kept me and my friend up the entire night and the vibe was just ok. Still, for the location, bar, and food, this is the place to stay in Phnom Penh. VERY clean.
The staff here are amazing! Really helpful and will do anything to make your stay better. The food is good and not too expensive either.
The staff here made our stay really lovely, they are so friendly and helpful. The dorms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable, although we did get cold sleeping directly under the aircon! The food and drinks are also great, we really enjoyed happy hour! Our only complaint is that you have to argue with the tuk tuk drivers every time you walk out the door! Tell them to stop hassling everyone, and guests will be a lot happier - if we want a tuk tuk we will ask for one!
Lovely looking hostel with some really friendly staff on the bar and comfortable social spaces. The cocktails are really tasty, as is the bruschetta! The tuk tuk guys outside while friendly can be a bit of a pain to have to contend with literally every time you leave- the system would work well if they didn't cos there is a price board inside. Try not to get beds right under the aircon in the bigger dorms because you will freeze! Smaller downstairs dorms can be a bit noisy from the bar.
A comfortable stay in the 6 bed female dorm. A clean, tidy good sized room with large lockers. The staff were really helpful, and very sweet. I could only stay one night, but I would certainly return.
Very good hostel and the staff were super nice and helpful.
Really wasn't as good as what we thought it would be. Had some good reviews but the whole place seemed cramped and made us all a bit claustrophobic.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our experience started a bit rocky, when our hostel transport from the bus station failed to show. This is never good, when you arrive late into a city you don't know, however the receptionist (Charlie) couldn't have been more apologetic. He went out of his way to make sure the rest of our stay was perfect, which we appreciated. At the time I had a badly infected foot and he supplied me with the supplies I need to steep it. Food is good also.
Very nice hostel, chilled atmosphere and close to the other louder party hostels. Helpful staff and a great pool table
it was just perfect stay

the luggage storage actually just a rack which only enough for two big backpack and some small bags. No individual lighting for the dorm bed. only one AC which locate at one end of the dorm, so to who can't withstand the whole night AC, maybe should try request to avoid bed 7&8, cause a girl who from UK also complains of cold on the next morning.
My friend and I had a great time at Me Mates. The atmosphere was great, and we enjoyed hanging out and playing pool in the lobby when we had down time. Also, the rooms are mercifully strongly air conditioned, plus they have great, sturdy, huge lockers for storing your stuff (one for each person in each dorm room). We never encountered better lockers at any of the hostels we stayed at during our whole trip through Cambodia and Vietnam. The staff was great too - they were very helpful.

The big lockers are great for backpacks, and the beds were wide even in the female dorms. The bathroom could use a shower curtain so that more than one person could use the bathroom at one time if they wanted to. Anna, one of the workers, was super kind and helpful. The whole weekend was a breeze thanks to the workers who helped us figure out travel plans and get bus tickets to our next locations. The hostel is just a few minutes walk from the riverfront, royal palace, and the central market.
Great hostel, very friendly, could book all our trips and transport here, we wanted to stay extra nights but they were full so they transferred us and our bags for free to another hostel for a good rate.
free yuk tuk pick up, free pool table at which I played with the staff, decent restaurant/bar below (not overly popular amongst outsiders like the mad-monkey is). When I was there, there weren't many people buzzing around the common areas, which made for a quiet night in comparison to other hostels I've been to. Possibilities to party seem there, but are more dependant on the people there rather than being a consistent thing like MadMonkey
The staff were so so nice and super friendly! They all talked to you even though they didn't speak too much english. The rooms were very clean and cozy. The beds are nice and big as well. There is a pool table out front and a little sitting area. The staff can organize a bunch of trips for you in Phnom Penh.
Great location and really friendly staff. The only downside were the bathroom facilities but everything else was great.
I stayed 3 nights and found the staff extremely helpful. They serve lovely meals at a good price and the bar closes at midnight so if you are in a dorm next to the bar you can still get plenty of sleep..the dorm doors seem to really keep out the noise anyway.
