AMAZING location and view! Right behind the Aya Sofia grounds. The patio is a great place to hang out and eat. They push their restaurant a bit, being that it's right downstairs, but the food is pretty good there.

the staff are really nice and the food from the restaurant is one of the best food I had in Istanbul. The only thing to improve is the very small bathroom.

Med Cezir is an excellent, excellent value. It is located 5 minutes from the Sultanahmet tram stop and all the tourist attractions, but it is on a quiet side street and is easy to find. The staff are incredibly friendly and the breakfast was awesome (especially the white cheese). It is hard to find a mid-range hotel in Istanbul that is consistently good and has everything one needs, but Med Cezir is definitely that. Thanks!

Med Cezir is the bomb. The staff was very friendly and servicable from the moment we walked in; they speak English well. They are constantly offering complementary tea and assuring that you enjoy your stay. The location is perfect for the more touristy area of Istanbul. Although the commodations aren't lavish, everything is clean. I would ask if they have any suggestions for cheap secrets because sometimes what they recommend was on the pricy side. I highly recommend their hotel.

Best hotel/hostel experience! Location is within walking distance of blue mosque, hagia Sofia, topkapi palace, the grand bazaar, the spice bazaar, and the metro to everywhere! Ali, Tony and the gang make you feel like family and take care of you every step of the way. Best money spent on lodging!

Very nice hotel with the best location - you can't get closer to sultanhamet square. Because of proximity to the mosques does have loud call to prayers in the morning if you are a light sleeper. Staff were extremely helpful and provided great customer service, in particular the young man Ahmed, Ohmed - sorry probably have the name spelled completely wrong - very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend to others. Loved the apple tea!

The staff, location, included breakfast, coffee, and tea, and Wi-fi were all great reasons to stay at Med Cezir. It is family run and they are very flexible and friendly. We flew to Izmir and they kept our bags for us while we were gone. Toni suggested tours that he thought we'd like and was able to get us deals on them. We were supposed to stay at a different hostel when we returned to Istanbul but liked Med Cezir so much we cancelled and stay there again.
