Not one redeemable quality...

Security is TERRIBLE. No lockers upstairs. Hotel is nowhere NEAR as noisy as other reviews make it out to be. The walls are concrete so it's a pretty quiet hostel. No outside alcohol allowed in and they search your bags. Security is a joke.

Very clean, reception staff very friendly and nice facilities. The pool really adds that special thing to it! there is room to improvement though, it would be really god to have a bigger lounge area with more sofas/seats available so that more people could watch TV.

Really god to meet people, good rooms, can be a tad noisy. But the only real downfall was the staff who I did not think were very friendly.

Had a great stay here. Really good atmosphere, the pool is soo nice during a hot day, and location great. Absolutley recommended. :)

It is a good hostel but very noisy at night. Staff were too serious and not helpful at all ( specially male staff)

There was difficulty paying the balance of our bill because we booked through hostelworld, which they do not have access to. Book through their website instead. Party on wednesday night good.

Good location but the hostel should really upgrade its lockers and its wifi. No use in offering a wifi if it has almost no capacity.

Everything was great (a very good atmosphere) except higiene and bathrooms.

definately a bit of a party hostel, especially on wednesdays when the music is pumping at the party on the rooftop bar. but also an awesome place to chill during the day by the pool side, to escape the heat and meet people. the dorms upstairs are the best, big and spacious, bright, open and really comfortable. the whole hostel was extremely clean. although very busy with the huge turnover of guests, staff were helpful and friendly. definately reccomended.

This is a party hostel - and it's a professional run business. And this is a little problem. They charge a lot for everything, especially for tours: eg I was charged 10.000 more for a tour to the mud vulcano than the other participants on the bus which booked the same tour in another hostel. This is, in my opinion, completely unnecessary and gave me a bad feeling.

The hostel was really dirty, showers weren't good at all and the staff was the worst thing. So rude and unpolite. They wouldn't even bother in helping you. The pool was ok and the party atmosphere was fun for some times and annoying at others.

Maybe I had bad luck but for me the staff is compare to other hostels in COL very unfriendly and less interested in the people.. When they might be busy at the resception they simple ignore you... they dont even say "sorry we got a problem, can u wait some minutes?" no.. its more like a really bad, unmotivated and unfriendly service.. Apart from this its a good hostel!!!

Medialuna hostel is amazing! Definitely the best hostel in Cartagena and the best I´ve ever been in all my life. Excelent located with spacious common areas to meet people, swing in the pool and have fun! The hostel has his own bar at the second floor with pool table ,an amazing terrace to chill. The kitchen is big, brand new and beautifull . You can cook and have a great view to the palm trees at the patio. All wednesdays partys at the terrace and bar, the best party in Cartagena!
