No lockers and overpriced. Good atmosphere but the only reason you pay more than every other hostel in town is the pool. You can stay in a private air conditioned room for the same price you pay at media luna for a 6 bed without ac. Enjoyed my time there but I don't think it's worth the money!

Wicked hot at night with no aircon, hard to sleep in less you're inebriated. Dorms get real messy as most of the people are there to party. Real loud etc, you know what you're in for when you book this place so you can't really complain. It's all good.

Awesome environment! Met some great people there! The swimming pool area is a great meeting point, the rooms are comfortable - no AC, but I have no trouble sleeping when it's warm (26ºC at night). I thought it would be noisy at night, but I was wrong. The staff is friendly and helpful. Only observation is that I booked an ensuited room, which was not provided to me. It worked out for the best though - my roommates were awesome and the bathrooms were not too far from the room.

I absolutely love Media Luna! The staff at reception are so amazing, helpful, friendly and fun. The location is perfect. Theres a pool and deck chairs to hang out in, as well as a roof area to chill on in the day or at night. On top of that they hold a few great weekly events. I met some amazing people here and would definitely stay again. Only down side is that its not a late hostel. By 11pm the outside areas are packed up and you are sent into the TV room or onto the roof (if it's open).

Stay across the road. Cheaper, better staff and with AC. Cartagena is a place for 1 or 2 nights.

The hostel lacks in common areas where people can hang out and get to meet new people, but other than that its a nice place and the facilities are good. Staff are super friendly as well.

Stayed at Medialuna 3 times in my two weeks trip in Colombia and really enjoyed it! the staff is helpful but dont ask for too much as they are really busy with all the people around. Also I dont know why they dont discount the 10% paid through hostelworld...strange, as all the other hostels I ever booked in Colombia and elsewhere do... Beds are really clean and its not a problem to find an available shower even well the hostel is fully booked. Fun and well located after all.

Overall a brilliant hostel. Great place to meet people especially around the pool. Staff were great, really friendly and helpful. Only things that could do with improving are: top bunks could maybe do with a barrier or something to prevent people falling off them. I didn't fall off the bunk but because they are so high up, I was paranoid I was going to roll over one too many times. Also, toilets could have done with being cleaned or at least unblocked more often.

I stayed at Media Luna when Cartagena didn't have water for two days. Despite this, the cleaning ladies at the hostel worked hard to keep the bathrooms clean. The internet is terrible (can't Viber/Skype/Facetime). Hostel restaurant only offers Mexican but a good cheap breakfast. Clientiele more South Americans than gringos.

Great hostel, if you cannot go to beach for some reason you can stay and spend a great time there!.It's important NOT to drink water, nobody tell you but you cannot drink it because you may get an illnes

Excellent hostel, the pool, though small, was a lifesaver in the fearsome Cartagena heat. So too were the two fans in my room - though I wouldn't have wanted to be in a room with only one fan. Atmosphere was great; the hostel was the social centre of Cartagena on Wednesday nights. Only real criticism was a huge lack of electrical power points to recharge travel equipment etc.

Good solid hostel. Good atmosphere and location. The staff wouldn't give me my discount from booking through hostelworld though. Not sure why. It seemed a bit too hard for them to work it out.

Really good hostel overall. Good WiFi, excellent atmosphere around the pool, much cheaper than other hostels such as El Viajero.. Only thing holding it back is no AC and free brekkie.
