This hostel has so much potential but lets itself down in most aspects. The staff are not helpful and rude at times, there is no orientation or onward travel info let alone info on what to do in cartagena and there is no room security. The bar is never open and the pool is nothing to write home about. I recommend avoiding this place and finding a cheaper, cleaner and friendlier place at the many hostels and hotels on the same street or around the corner. This hostel has so much potential but lets itself down in most aspects. Expensive. You can get a private room in one of the hotels across the road for the same price as a dorm bed.Expensive. You can get a private room in one of the hotels across the road for the same price as a dorm bed....Close

Excellent location and a hostel with SO much potential - just a shame they don't take advantage of it. Why build a massive, cool bar and never use it??? Why does almost none of the toilets have locks? Why can't the staff multi-task so you don't have to wait 10 minutes just to buy a beer?Excellent location and a hostel with SO much potential - just a shame they don't take advantage of it. The Instalatons are good and new but not as clean as it should. Staff seems to not have a clue what backpacking is all about and usual travel needs. The good news is that you can find near by or other hostels with dorms with AC from 12.ooo to 15.ooo (check Lonely Planet).
The bad news is that they DO NOT RECOGNIZE WHAT YOU PAY WILE BOOKING ON HOSTEL WORLD. Whatever you pay here..., you will loose it.
