definately a bit of a party hostel, especially on wednesdays when the music is pumping at the party on the rooftop bar. but also an awesome place to chill during the day by the pool side, to escape the heat and meet people. the dorms upstairs are the best, big and spacious, bright, open and really comfortable. the whole hostel was extremely clean. although very busy with the huge turnover of guests, staff were helpful and friendly. definately reccomended.

This is a party hostel - and it's a professional run business. And this is a little problem. They charge a lot for everything, especially for tours: eg I was charged 10.000 more for a tour to the mud vulcano than the other participants on the bus which booked the same tour in another hostel. This is, in my opinion, completely unnecessary and gave me a bad feeling.

The hostel was really dirty, showers weren't good at all and the staff was the worst thing. So rude and unpolite. They wouldn't even bother in helping you. The pool was ok and the party atmosphere was fun for some times and annoying at others.

Medialuna hostel is amazing! Definitely the best hostel in Cartagena and the best I´ve ever been in all my life. Excelent located with spacious common areas to meet people, swing in the pool and have fun! The hostel has his own bar at the second floor with pool table ,an amazing terrace to chill. The kitchen is big, brand new and beautifull . You can cook and have a great view to the palm trees at the patio. All wednesdays partys at the terrace and bar, the best party in Cartagena!

It is the main backpacker hostel if you are travelling by yourself. If not, the town has airconditioned hotel rooms for cheaper than you can get a dorm here. Pool is nice, and bar is decent. Staff are not particularly friendly, they do a terrible laundry service (just go across the road instead) and it is not very safe for your belongings. Not every bed has a locker, and myself and several other people had things stolen from our room.

Rooms are lovely all white, but no brekkie and the 'big party' on wednesday night is overrated they just play all their music no gringo stuff!

This is one of the best hostels I have visit. The place is beautiful, big and comfortable, but also familiar and with a great atmosphere. You find everything you need: great common places, hammocks, tv, kitchen, bar, and the best: a tiny and beautiful pool, absolutely necesary in the heat of Cartagena. I absolutely recomend this place, you´ll have fun, meet people from everywhere, and feel really comfortable with the nice and helpful people. from the staff.. Great place!!!
