It was very clean, but it's a little hard to find the first time you arrive there. Compared to how much you pay, the hostel is average, nothing too special but oh well. The rooms have good size, at least the double-room we were staying in with a bathroom en suite. I was surprised that there was a lady cleaning our room every day, i wasn't used to this before. The staff was okay, not too good in English but helpful. Windows not isolated, so better pack your earplugs when planning on getting sleep

Spent 3 nights in an en-suite double room and found it very comfortable. Room was clean and a good size and same for the bathroom. Towels were provided free of charge it seems and the room was cleaned each afternoon. Only problem with the room is that the window was not very effective at keeping out the noise. We were woken more than once by trucks and motorbikes. Did not use the facilities much but had no trouble with the wi-fi. Kitchen was clean and well equipped, with some food available too.

as it is very big and maybe not enough people working there the securitiy is not always at the best and like almost all hostals in Barcelona it's very expensif. But definitely a place to go back if I have to go back to Barcelona another time, the location is absolutely great and the stuff very, very nice!

Through Hostel World, we booked our stay at this hostel for the nights of the 20th through the 24th. We set our arrival time for midnight on the 20th. Yet, when we arrived around that time (12:30), and tried to check in, the hostel claimed that we could not get a bed for that night. Apparently we would have had to pay for a room on the 19th to get a bed in the early morning of the 20th? Waste of money. The showers were spotty. People sometimes wandered into our room at random. Thin walls.

We had a convenient stay at Mediterranean Hostel, location of the hostel is really perfect, not far from central streets, easy to reach, rooms and stairs are quite tiny, but its enough if you just need a place to sleep! Helpful staff as well!

Everything in the hostel is excellent except two things: the first thing is the smell in stairs and the second is you don't have clothes hanger in bath room so it is inconvenient especially for girls.

Very good hostel, with really great commom rooms. Decorated with paintings, colorfull. A good place do meet other travelers. One cons, only one bathroom for the private rooms, causes a little problems in certain hours.

I stayed for 1 night and enjoyed it. It was pretty rowdy at night, and I got some glares for waking up to leave by the 10 am checkout time, but that's to be expected in such a central location. Overall I would recommend this hostel.

This is the loudest hostel I've ever had to stay in, I've never been so unhappy with a hostel. All a hostel is supposed to be in a quiet place to sleep, and it was not even close to quiet. The walls are so thin that you can hear anyone in the hallway at any time, and the staff did not even tell people to quiet down when they were being rowdy. The hostel is really far away from anything you'd want to do, although it's true, it is "in the center of the city". The showers are also AWFUL.

No internet on the 3th floor where we stayed, we had to use the computers in the common area. Good location, near the subway. Breakfast is not included but the kitchen facilities were ok.

Stay somewhere else if you can. I stayed there for four days and was eaten up by bed bugs all over my body. I have around a hundred bites and it is horrible and is really affecting my trip to other countries. The bathrooms always were wet, there's only wifi in common areas, and no free breakfast. It's just an average hostel, but with the bed bugs it's definitely not worth a stay.

Mediterranean Youth Hostel has excellent location and this is his biggest advaantage. I was staying in Double Room and its price quality for very poor. For almost 70euro per night we had really small room, with dirty sheets! But that wasn't the worst thing - our bathroom was in...closet! Lavatory was so close to the wash basin, you wasn't able to sit on it! Shower was hidden in a weird hole and everything was covered in mold!!! Disgusting!

Everything about the hostel was great. It was clean, roomy, and had character. This kitchen was large and it was definitely a great place to make our own meals. The staff was nothing but friendly and I felt very safe!
