The Meiai Hostel does everything for you to feel at home. With modern and comfortable rooms (private and shared), warm care and personalized service, very typical of the cariocas (locals).
Beyond, our common rooms are equipped with TV, DVDs, books, board games and computers. There is also a nice yard where people can hang out.

With 7 shared rooms and 4 suites, the daily rates include breakfast, rooms with air conditioning, bed linens, towel, pillow, electric outlets, reading lights and drawer with key, along with access to Wi-Fi. The suites have private bathroom and HD television.
There are 7 bathrooms in the hostel area, and one of them can be used by up to 3 guests at the same time.
To reserve means that you authorize the 50% debit of the total amount of the reservation in case of cancelation within less than 72 hours before the check in time, as well as in case of no show.
After you receive the reservation’s confirmation from hostelworld, Meiai Hostel’s reservations department will send you an e-mail requesting your credit card’s CVC number so they can guarantee your reservation by making a pre-authorization of 50% of the total amount.

The best hostel I stayed in Rio. The rooms are average, but with air conditioning what makes it better than the others. The common parts of the hostel are awesome, with a very good bar/restorant and a cool living room. It is near the subway and the staff is always ready to help you with bus informations and so on. Everything is clean and new with a very good atmosphere.
