The appartement is very nice located, about 3 minutes to an endless lonely beach. The kitchen and dining room well equipped and comfotable. BUT: The single has only a little window that you cannot reach because it is very high, so that you are not able to open it which means it is getting very very hot. If you take some chairs to open it, it is going to rain in the room, if it is raining. This little window makes you feeling like a prisoner..... One of the triple rooms I saw is very nice!

We are happy you enjoyed the apartment and beach across the road. The single room does have a high double window, which we keep closed in case of rain, so if it gets hot we have the tall pedastal fan to cool the room down. Happy travels :)

Melaluka is a cheap and great place to stay. It isn't luxurious but clean and more than enough. And has got an unbeatable price: nearly as cheap as a camping ground or a 8-bed dorm in noosa. The guys who run it are very helpful and funny: easy peasy! We stayed for almost 3 weeks, had room with ocean-view, the beach is a 2-minute walk away and the bus stop is just about the next street. We had great time, thanks Peter and Bruce!

It is a hostel but nothing like any other I have stayed at in Oz, it is really laid back and soo close to the beach, literally a hop, skip and a jump, so great for the keen surfer or beach goer! Its vibe is the natural Ozi experience and the staff are great, really helpful and always up for a laugh. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from the usual hostel experience and see a different side of things in Oz. Be aware, it is not a party hostel, its perfect for a just chillin!

A single room for $30 is pretty unbeatable, and it's perfect if you have your own transport and are going to be out surfing or touristing all day. The room is very very basic, but it is a room in a house, so there is plenty of space to hang out in the common area downstairs, or outside, or at the beach or surf club across the road.

A very nice place to stay. It is about 2.5km from town but there are buses and the twins do arrange shuttles to and from there. Very close to the beach though and a nice little cafe just around the corner. Would stay again if i went to Noosa.
