Best value for money. Very central located in the BCD, clean and relatively new facilities. Not just the usual Backpacker/Party Squad therefore less noisy than I thougt. Perfect for a weekend trip to Melbourne.

A very hotel like hostel. Very clean. Great security, a key card to get to all levels and lockers in the room under the bed. Location is mixed - in the centre so convenient but very noisy because of it. Hard to socialise, it doesn't seem geared towards that. Rooms were hot. I was bizarrely moved from my room at 22:45 on the last night, when a 5th person walked into our 4 bed dorm. When I said no one notified me, I was told "well, you know now".

miles away from great european hostels, the staff wont make an effort to help you and the room is not the representation of clean. the problem is that this hostel looks the best option in town.

Best word is "adequate." Not exactly clean but not terribly dirty. Not the best location, but walkable to most city sights & close to the tram. Helpful staff were a plus. Kitchens were pretty dismal: too small, not enough shelf or fridge space for the number of guests sharing them, very dirty. Had to scour the entire hostel just to find 3 forks to eat dinner. Security was fine but it's really annoying scanning your key at every entrance on every floor every 30 seconds. Could be much better.

The bathrooms were sometimes not very clean on the 2nd floor where I stayed. Had to pay to store luggage, which I found unusual in a hostel, however, they were very secure lockers. Apart from that a really nice, central hostel. Comfy bed, good location and helpful staff. A great roof area!

Clean, top quality and new..but..very low value for money. 4Bedshare cost $42, internet for a day $5, locker for a day $8 = $55pn! The most I've ever paid at a hostel for these facilities is $30pn! (Currency is irrelevant) They won't store your luggage before and after checkout. No personal power point.

Clean, secure, modern hostel in a very central location. I was greeted by THE friendliest guy at the front desk upon arrival and his great attitude was just the same as all the staff. Spotlessly clean bathrooms and kitchen. Despite having to pay for wifi, it was only $5 for 1 day and cheaper for longer periods. I could walk to Federation Square and there were trams directly outside.Try to get a room away from Flinders St traffic noise and you will sleep well. One of the best. HIGHLY recommended.

Clean and comfortable hostel in a good location with friendly and helpful staff. I have stayed here twice two years apart and have been satisfied both times. The WiFi is expensive and you can get internet really cheap across the road and the laundry is expensive. Otherwise a good hostel.
