Hostel was clean and in a good location. The hostel is easy to get to on the airport shuttle to Southern Cross Station. The first night my bunk was insanely squeaky (I felt sorry for the guy below me), however the staff were only too happy to move me to another room the next night. I'd recommend this hostel, however it is not very social so not the best place to meet people. I also stayed at the YHA in North Melbourne which was more social and had good facilities but a bit further out of town.
Fantastic bathrooms! Complete with glass door and separate change room section with great bench space for clothes. Rooms are quite spacious and very clean.
Very clean hostel with all the amenities for convenience (lockers, showers with hooks and separate changing areas, etc) - no free wifi, however. Not a big party hostel. Secure, quiet, friendly.
the hostel is quite close to the train station and the tram station, the location is convince to a reach everywhere but not close very close to the city center. one of the male staff is rude and unfriendly to us, every time we try to ask him question, he will pretend to talk to another or didnt see us. luckily, most of the staff are friendly to us and helpful

Very good position close to the main attractions and city center. Clean and secure. Quiet place to have good sleep (not noisy) and share the room with easy-going but serious people. WI-FI is definitely too expensive (15 AUD for 1 week). Bed mattresses need to be changed or fixed.
No friendly personnel, Very noise! Dirty Place, i definly not reccomend to others.
Pretty similar to other australian hostels, what you would expect from a YHA. Location though was fantastic, only a 4 min walk from Southern Cross station, very handy if you catch the sky bus to and from the airport. Free city circle tram was literally out the front door, though hardly necessary as it was an easy walk to southbank and city centre.

Great facilities (esp the bathrooms) - clean and spacious. Only negative is that luggage storage is expensive, and inconveniently placed on the roof so you need multiple door-keys, the lift and a raincoat to get to it.
Very clean and pleasant hostel. Was quiet and secure
Great hostel in a pretty good location. Half an hour walk to central quay and central train station a couple of mins away. The bar downstairs is pretty lively
