Good for a night's sleep, not much else. One toilet/shower for several dorms? Pleasant decor.

nice host, john. nice place and location and he maintains it nicely very easy to reach from airport and china-hongkong immigration point at Louhu, a central bus staion also at louhu. metro station walkable, all around lot of shops of many kind, the location is well within the central shenzhen, shopping malls around, a big park around. transport is available easily. first time i stayed there. i love the place and i will be back again. a small kitchen also available, u can make light food of

The place is an appartment in an excellent accesable place , but the space is extreemly small for 3 small room having 6 beds each , in addition , the owner set a curtain in reception and sell 2 beds with zero security , zero privacy ,... people eating , drinking , joking , laughing 2 meters away from guests sleeping . The owner close front door and shut off the reception light t mid night . The Place hv only two showers&toilets concluded by one door , WC is working porobably .

The best hostel I've ever stayed! John is simply awesome, and the atmosphere at this place feels more like a big family than a hostel. Would definitely recommend to all travellers. If you want a place where you can get some travel advice and meet interesting new friends, this is the place!

I like this home style of hostel, had John as the best host. I will stay there again.

Like many other reviewers, I had a lot of trouble finding the hostel, as the address and directions on the website are very unclear. This isn't really a hostel; more a small "dorm" where people merely go to sleep. Great location though!

Good location and friendly.

Great hostel! Good service. I will come back here!

Great location, a bit hard to find. Good for family stay, not so much if you want to hit the town. The value for money is a really good deal considering the town and how close it is to major metro lines.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The common area was very serene and peaceful while still being social. Strong WiFi throughout the hostel. The guard for the building doesn't speak English, but if you show him your booking email from Hostelworld he'll send you right up.

A very nice stay with John and his family. Small but nice hostel. Very personal touch. would like to stay again in future.

Cozy apartment hostel, great proprietor, great value.

very average, staff friendly

The hostel is well located in old centers of Shenzhen. It's only 5-minute walk to metro stations by which you can easily take metros to other centers and borders without interchange. The thing is, there are 5 beds in my room and 3 of them are too short. I don't think anyone more than 1.78m can sleep on those 3 beds and it made me suffering for the whole night! The service was ok, and the decoration is very good. The most unsatisfying thing is that nowadays the hostel provide different prices for

Very nice hostel in Shenzhen. Good location close to two MRT stations, restaurants, a park, and a mall with lots of restaurants and a grocery store. Not a ton of amenities, but they do have free wifi and clean rooms. The staff is very friendly.

It was an okay place. Location is not too bad. However, the staff were not very helpful in giving information about the city. Other than one of its staff, the others did not spoke any English.

Very positively surprised for a Hostel in China. Family feeling, basically a open appartment where you rent a bed. Young and honest/fun people. Though at midnight they lock the door.. Also mainly Chinese guest, which i liked, since I want Chinese atmosphere.

Not a bad place. The staff could have been a little more helpful, but they seemed friendly enough. The mixed room is tiny, but the others were more spacious. Oh there's a curfew. Around midnight to 12:30am ish the doors are locked. Boooooo!

Nice place, staff were helpful, rooms clean, had a great time.

This is the most difficult to find hostel I've ever been to! Please, put up a sign somewhere or add a very clear map and indications on hostelworld.com! The downstairs area was really nice and cozy, but the female dorm at least was crammed with the other girls' stuff -including the bathroom, covered in water-, which made me think they actually lived there. A few lockers would have been great, as well as having a key for the room.
