This hostel was very clean. Bathrooms were alway clean. Only stayed here one night though so didn't really get into the atmosphere of the place. Generally pretty good. If you are looking for a safe, reliable hostel, then stay here. The rooms and beds are clean, the restaurant really handy. If, however, you are looking for somewhere fun and lively, then don't stay here. Very boring crowd, mostly older people or organised trips. Metro YHA is worthwhile staying at. Friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere, good facilities. Only 5 min from Queen Victoria market for great food. Not so far from the city centre if you like walking to get a bit of a suburban taste to start off the day. Metro YHA is worthwhile staying at. Loved this hostel. You will definitely enjoy you stay there. The common area is beautiful with a large kitchen as well as a little restaurant. A nice 15 min walk into the center of Melbourne with great staff and with lots of suggestions on what to do and what to see.
