A very good hostel! lively with always things to do. everyone was very friendly and the staff very friendly and helpful. didn´t feel crowded...even in the 24 bed dorm. Felt very safe. would definately reccommend and stay there again!!! if its your first stop, it may spoil you for other hostel stays as its so good!!! Dirtiest hostel I ever stayed in. The favela we visisted during a tour was much cleaner. Met quite some people who had bed bugs. Picked it for partying, but figured out that this is as well possible with other hostels. That's why I moved out.Dirtiest hostel I ever stayed in. I saw loads of people with really bad bites from bed bugs. One guy had to throw away his suitcase because of it and dry clean everything. Staff is not friendly, they literally screamed at me for taking the elevator. They also do hard sells: "you don't want do our tour? what kind of vacation is that?" to make you feel bad. Twice I got that exact comment. Very dirty. Tried to overcharge me. Lied that they didn't accept VISA to be able to charge in cash (and pay less taxes).I saw loads of people with really bad bites from bed bugs. I just gave 20 % for the staff because the girl at the reception with the piercing is very unfriendly. Due to a missunderstanding we couldn´´t get on a bus to ilha grande.. this would not be a problem... but her attitude towards us was just unacceptable.... substitute her...I just gave 20 % for the staff because the girl at the reception with the piercing is very unfriendly.
