The staff are very friendly, location is good, the view from the terrace is very good, but the swimming pool didn't work, the rooms weren't clean proper.

I just regret that the lift didn't work. Five floors it's high....to go to my room.

Good place, clean, nice location, great staff, simple breakfast. But: NO internet. To get internet (5 LE per hour) you need to go to a nearby hotel. No wifi at that place neither, so if you stay here for a while this might bother you. The Felucca trip we booked here was terrible, captain didn't care about us and we hardly did any sailing.

The hotel itself was alright. There was a snafu with the staff and the billing. This service charges 10% but they didn't have a record of it so I ended up paying the total 100%, so I actually paid more than I should have. They haggled over prices in a way that turned me off on a very personal level.

The place was a pleasant budget option. However, the staff would never have change required to buy the water and drinks they sell. They also tried to charge for toilet paper after we booked extra days (although they did back down when we refused) and also attempted to put the price up on the last night of our stay (again backing down when we refused). These were minor problems but their frequency made the stay a little unpleasant.

It's a pity that there is no internet available in this hostel: it is a very big one and there are surely a lot of guests who need it. Otherwise, the staff is helpful and does not hesitate to help when needed.

Only stay for 3 hours because of leaving for Abu Simbel before dawn. Small single room, not the lowest price but reasonable. Waited at the airport to pick up me punctually, of course, paid, not free :-)

Hotel clean, tidy, bed comfy with good air con. Friendly staff. Trip to Abel Simbel was awesome. Lovely views of the Nile.

Memnon hotel is not far from the train station and rooms have a very nice view over the Nile. The swimming pool is closed for now because there are no enough tourists around there (which I understand). We booked a trip to Abu Simbel for 110 pounds and it was very good (tickets entrance are not included). Ahmed was really somebody very helpful for us and very nice, specially with all the bad experiences we had, he was very patient with us. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Staff were Excellent Very friendly and helpful. They changed our room when we found a cockroach in the first. and were flexible about booking changes. Advertised pool not available as this was the off season.
