Great hostel and well located on the edge of the old town. It has a lovely courtyard where you can drink tea and relax away from a day in the hustle and bustle of Lijiang's streets.Great hostel and well located on the edge of the old town. Very difficult to find with the web site explications if you don't have the adress in Chineese. The dorms are far to be confortable. This is cheap but you will sleep on very hard sleeper and in a noisy place. Twin rooms seem to be more confortable. But the location is perfect, at the end of the touristic street and at the beginning of the real chineese town.Very difficult to find with the web site explications if you don't have the adress in Chineese. First the positive: well located and the twinbed room had character.
Now the negative:
- The sfaff is not of a great help to advice on tour trip. They confused us. Stick to what your travel book says.
-Dorms are the worst we ever had. No mattress, you'll sleep on wood. And one shower for over 20 people.
- The owner's dogs have been barking every day in the early morning.First the positive: well located and the twinbed room had character.

Good hostel, with comfortable athmosphere and very few people inside. Staff was very helpul. We only regretted that beds in dormitory are a little hard. There is only 1 shower for dormitory, which could be a problem if thre is a lot of people, but that was not the case when we came. Normally I don\'t write reviews but Memory of March simply deserves one! The hostel has a lot of character and the owners and staff were very helpful. They arranged tours and bookings for us and even invited us for dinner to celebrate National day with them! The hostel is not in the old centre of town itself, which was for us personally perhaps even an advantage (no noise in the night and a less touristy feeling :) ). It\'s still close (only 10 minutes on foot). We definitely recommend it!Normally I don\'t write reviews but Memory of March simply deserves one! very cute, clean hostel/hotel set back a little ways from SiFang Square and all the old town activity. very easy to reach via taxi from main bus station,and we were happy not to have had to lug our pack all through those cobbled streets! The location is great, hostel is 5 min walk to the old town. The manager is very nice and very helpful. She makes sure you get where you want to go. She speaks good english and helps you with everything. Rooms are very big and very clean, beds are cosy. They have great social areas and provide home made meals. We stayed there three times durig our trip to Cina and would definitely come back again.The location is great, hostel is 5 min walk to the old town. The manager is very nice and very helpful. Had no difficulty locating. We focused on the school address with the taxi driver (using chinese characters). One can see the hostel from the school front entrance. At the hostel sight, the name of the hostel in chinese characters would be helpful. Would stay there again.Had no difficulty locating.
