Not much atmosphere to speak of, but ok room. great location but the private rooms are a 10 minute walk from the main building. Hot water ran out after one shower though, so when sharing a house between 7ish people it got pretty annoying having to shower in arctic temperatures. Pretty average stay apart from that.

No kitchen, no computer, wifi doesn't work, washing machine (cloth) very expencive, bathroom not clean, ..these poor facilities don't value the price. The staff is sympatic thow, and the excursion interesting (but very expencive too). Could be a great place if the owner would care about the stay conditions.

Actually when we arrived we got placed in another hostel just arround the corner to stay with our friends, who booked later.

Had an absolute nightmare trying to find the place. The hostel reception wasn't labelled or even open we had to eventually ring them. It was really stressful and confusing so that should be made better. The actual place we stayed in was very nice tho and had a great location.

Don't be fooled by the address - that's just where the office is. The accommodation is actually 500m out of town towards the east. Very crafty! Regardless, it was cheap and easy. Sarajevo is pretty small so it doesn't really matter that you're on the edge of town. Accommodation was a bit dirty, especially the kitchen but the room was neat and clean. Make sure you walk along the river to the Goat bridge (6km return) and do the walking tour by a guy called Nino (google it). Amazing!

Top hostel where I booked a dorm and got the room all to myself! Some waiting around for my late check in but hospitality and 24 bakery 1 minute walk away more than made up for it! Nice walk up the hill nearby :)

Great, friendly staff, excellent location!

The location is great but there is no hostel atmosphere whatsoever. Also, the 4-bed room where we stayed was super small, smelly and super hot! And we were not even informed about the water shortage after midnight.

We couldn't find Merak house, but instead there was another hostel at the same spot with nice staff which we are told to be the successor of it. After the confusion they charged cheap 11 Euros for a nice, quite room. Totally fine. But no community at all if you search for that.

Great location in the old town, although a 30min walk to the bus and train station but very close to tram stops. Clean and staff friendly although no cooking facilities available but overall good place to stay.

Gorgeous and fantastic location. Very clean and comfy. Recommended a great restaurant that was delicious and cheap! Very happy and would stay there again next time!

The most impressive is the hostel staff, witch was very kind and polite, and location in the center of the city. All the time I felt almost like home. One day I will be back for sure.

Absolutely 100% !! We had a feeling that we stayed at our friends' place. Everybody: the owner, his son and the lady at the reception were very very nice and helpful. Great location!Right in the middle of historical center.Very clean. And we hardly noticed we had sharing bathroom. Strongly recommended!!!

El cuarto de baño estaba muy mal. Además nos dieron una habitación en la que todos los que iban a la de al lado, pasaban por la nuestra, por lo que no podíamos cerrarla.

A series of rooms in the heart of the Turkish quarter. Clean and comfortable and certainly not cramped, but not much atmosphere. I can still reccomend it though.

I had a reservation, but they had not a bed for me. And 2 other guys, the same, after me. Reception is not 24h! You may be waiting hours and hours till the morning before someone appears at the reception!

A very misleading description -- this isn't a proper hostel so much as an office that sends tenants around to various shady apartments in Stari Grad

A nice quiet place, very clean, very nice people and very close to everything nice!

Perfect to stay for one night...but ultimately lacked any atmosphere. The bedsheets (teatowels) don't fit the bed and the staff were hard to find.
