it was my second time to staying at Mercury. I love that Mercury is very close to Lavender MRT, which is easier to go to town. the rooftop area is my favorite spot to chill down at the evening. the room is small but everything was clean and tidy. I'm definitely would staying in Mercury on my next trip.

I had a great time staying at Mercury Hostel. The dorm room and bathrooms are always clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent (just a few minutes walk from Lavender MRT). I would recommend staying here and would happily return next time I'm in Singapore.

There was a guy who works there that was absolutely amazing. He would tell us where to eat and how to get places in a heart beat. The rooftop is a nice place to chill. Good lockers. Slightly cramped room. Over all it was a great stay!

Check in is a bit slow, took me more than half an hour due to unfamiliar of the booking system of the hostel's staff.

Pros: good location, small number of beds in a room (I chose the 4 bed dorm), good wifi connection, beds are sturdy, lockers provided were secure. cons: Not enough toilets, bathroom area not very clean, smokers in the common areas.

It is cheap for Singapore, extremely clean, location is good near the metro and the wifi was mostly good. Bad sides were that our 4-bed dorm was so tiny that you have to step over people's belongings, you can't even turn without bumping into something or someone. Staff was mixed: if you're lucky, you meet the guy or the nice helpful young lady who knows her job, but the other two girls spend more time on chatting on their smartphone or putting on more make-up. Don't bother asking them anything.

Mercury was a good stay. We had a group of three and they were very accommodating. Near the MRT, free towels, large lockers, laundry machines on site (a bit pricey, but they can do a very large load) a jacuzzi and a nice rooftop area (though the jacuzzi wasn't hot, still nice to have a place to wind down at night). Unfortunately the wifi didn't work in the rooms, but the rest of the facilities, the staff and the location were good enough for us to extend our stay. Not amazing, but good enough!

This hostel is very close to the lavender MRT, 2mins walk. The dorm rooms are really small and have no windows however the bed is comfortable and the communal bathrooms are clean. The lady at the front desk isn't the most helpful or particularly friendly but the housekeeping crew were wonderful. The communal areas are very small and the is no real place to hang out and meet other people from the hostel. There is a roof top however is quite run down and during my stay the jacuzzi wasn't working.

Good place to sleep, shower and leave for sightseeing. good located near the MRT Station. Clean Beds and facilities. The Jacuzzi and most of the chairs at the terrace were broken, so there was no athmosphere at the terrace. Every floor has his own little common room, so not that good to come together with Guests from other floors. The woman at the desk never smiles, hardly says hello or welcome. talked rude with Customers, only looking on her mobilephone I did not get a hostel athmosphere.

Mercury was a great, clean and secure place to stay- but a huge let down for me was the front staff. Multiple staff members could not answer any of my questions and did not give me any recommendations of places to go. They could not even tell me where to find a bus station - extremely unhelpful for travelers who are new to Singapore.

My husband, son and I shared a family room here and thought it was very nice. Good clean room, nice lockers, great air conditioner, and "surprise" a TV in the room. We felt the location was convenient and safe. LOVED having washer and dryer to use, but not cheap... I think it cost $5 to wash and $4 to dry. My only complaint about our stay was that the bathrooms were questionable... floors seemed to be in a constant state of semi-flooded during our stay.

Noise from the corridor was unpleasant. Facilities and everything were cool, although the jacuzzi wasn't available. normally it's in use but this time it was broken.

My trip there was very pleasant. at first I had a doubt to bring my parents to a hostel. but then I found out that it was nothing to worried about. the hostel is very nice and comfortable, the room is small and a little bit stuffy, but if you plan to go all day long and just use your room to take a rest than this hostel is more than fine. the locker is good. If i can suggest something, it will be nice if they can use the air purifier.
