The room was very small and not very clean ; we found many bed bugs. The window would not close completely. Breakfast wasn't that good (nothing fresh except low budget yoghourts, low budget crackers, disgusting stuffed crescents)...Maybe we'd expected too much .

excellent value for money. very convenient location right near paddington station. michael on reception is very friendly and helpful. room was small and dingy but i was expecting much worse considering how cheap it was. not a very exciting location for night life and such but very good for getting to heathrow or wherever. my room had a tv, fridge and ensuite as well as a decent bed. if you are fussy and have the money you can go to the hilton which is just down the road. cheap and cheerful.

I had a cockroach in my room. Breakfast was not very good, just packed stuff, nothing fresh. Staff was very friendly and helpful, however. Location is also perfect with good connection to the main sights.

Comfortable mattress - however the bottom sheet on our double bed was too small and kept coming untucked - ttwhich was annoying. Poorly maintained building - although kept clean as possible - felt a bit depressing. The pictures on the website aren't a correct representation of the condition of the rooms.

September, the 30th to October, the 2nd. The staff was excellent, polite, kind, nice and helpful. The room was too small to be for three. The room was 100 pounds per night. I've been in 5* hotels in Seville, Málaga and Madrid (Spain) this years for less than that. Maybe I'm too used to those prices. Anyway, as I said, the staff was perfect with us, and the location is great. I only think that the hotel would adjust prices.

The hostel's number one advantage is its location...very convenient for tourists coming from the Heathrow Airport as there is a train connection that brings passengers to London from there..the bus and train stations are also just around the corner. It is also, clean with a friendly staffs called Tony and George whom the latter said has been working here for 10 years> Yes. this is a very small but respectable place to be as a tourist!

We were moved to a different hotel the first night (THIS HOTEL DOES THIS A LOT), and were not told which caused problems later. Explanation given: 'renovations'. Really?!! On a Saturday night! I have the feeling I was lied to. Cleanliness: 'poor' because the first hotel room (not Metro which was clean) was an ugly cupboard Staff: 'very poor' as I was misinformed over the phone and we had to change hotel Location: 'good'. The 'double bed' was 1 1/2 beds!
