The staff was informative and helpful. Facilities were clean enough. There is alot of night life nearby and the river front area is a reasonable walk. There were some great people sharing my room and we had a good time in Budapest. It's not a large hostel with an encouraging social environment, but I would stay here again.

Close to most of the local ruin bars and night clubs including szimpla. Staff are helpful and willing to direct you to busy bars and attractions. Also close to the start of the free walking tour and one metro stop the central station. Not a very large hostel so if you are a large group you will have it too yourself pretty much. Only downside was it is ridiculously hot in the night.

Good location. Hostel only held 19 people. We were in a room of 7 people, all single beds with private locker for security items - couldn't store backpack in there. Only 2 bathrooms - had to wait often. Nice small kitchen. Wifi worked well. One stop from train station on underground.

This was a good, cheap hostel in a nicely central location. The staff were very nice and helpful, and security was tight in a part of town that felt like that was important. Downside -- it was extremely hot in the dorms at night with no AC. Also, we chose this hostel largely because it advertised laundry service (since we were camping for most of this trip we wanted a break to do laundry) but the machine was broken and no alternative solutions were suggested when we asked. Disappointing.

Actually, I don't know--I didn't stay there. Oh no wait, we COULDN'T stay there... RECAP: we originally booked two beds for two nights. HOWEVER, when we got to the reception, we were told that they only had one bed for us, which was--apparently--a mistake. The lady at the reception made a LONG call confirming our reservation, only to inform us in the end of what we already knew. They booked two other beds at "Broadway Hostel" (quite comfortable, btw) for us, but only for that 1 night...

it was very friendly and the staff is so helpful. We felt like home and thank you for that.

Nice stay
