Metropol Hostel Berlin Reviews

Very good Hostel, almost feels like a hotel. One complain; There was a rude guy in the reception one day and when we asked him how long it took to get to the airport he sad; 40 min by U-bahn. But it took 1,5 hour and we almost missed our plain. All the other people in the staff are greaaat!!!

I'm glad I only had the night there. The En suite was flooded because of the shower and the door didn't close properly either.

there was a drunk polish guy in the room and he was saying bad words in polish language and yelling,hitting the walls.we were 2 girls and afraid.people from reception figured our something but i couldnt sleep well. breakfast was perfect...hot bread,delicious cheese and salami,tea and egg...my favourite...

private double room was very nice with brand new bathroom. it was a bit noisy, but you expect that in a hostel. we were very pleased with everything.

Pleasant communal areas but no control over late arrivals into my room - impossible to get a nights sleep!

Very nice rooms and delicous breakfast.

We spent 8 nights in Hostel. Excellent breakfast,good location,clean rooms . We were in a 11 bed/mixed room, but then we changed it to an 8 bed room which had a shower too and they did not charge us more. I would not recommend the rooms without shower and toilet. The bar of the hostel had two TVs, with a great the atmosphere in the bar. The staff at the reception were very kind, polite, and very very helpful. They told us were to see and how to go to different places. Try kebab in fron of hostel

Clean, nice staff, nicely location. Kebab and Currywrust shop just down stair. But the wifi is not working on 4th floor sometimes.

I really enjoyed my stay, the Metropol was great.

An American/UK tv channel would be nice. The rooms need sound proofing, towels could be bigger and colours used for decoration could be more subtle. But the staff were great and friendly. The 10am check out was a bit early too.

The location was perfetc, staff so polite and friendly!

Pretty friendly place overall. For some reason my room was only cleaned on the first night. Don't know if that was standard! Decent place though, enjoyed it.

Very hostel, which can compare to a hotel for a smaller price. I had a very nice stay!

Super localization with U-bahn entrance just in front of a hostel and nice places to eat including famous Curry 36 and Kebab (lines all day but worth it!). Hostel rooms not so super (we had private ensuit but in our room where also 4 beds for additional guests...), but overall worth to stay for anybody who wants to be in vibrant and convenient city localization.

I booked single room ensuite and got 6 bed room dorm with bath! The light in the room is awful and the room was also not so clean. You can't compare pictures on the website to what you get at the end. Overall, Berlin is great, especially x-berg area. Definitly will come back to Berlin, just not to this hostel!

there's no kitchen, but everything was excellent!
