Metropol was okay. Convenient location if you are planning on getting around by u-bahn. They charged us €3 each for linen without asking. The wifi was terrible and there were only 2 powerpoints in the entire room for 5 people. The breakfast was good but we appeared to be some of the only women at the hostel so were stared at at times. We could also hear lots of yelling outside our room on many occasions. Not worth the price we paid but it will do.
This hostel is right in front of metro stop, making it easy to travel the city, but reaching the city center only takes 30 minutes on foot so that's what i did. Right in front of the metro is the famous Mustafa kebab stand and, let me tell you, it lived up to its rep. I had dinner (and second, drunk, dinner) here every single night i stayed in Berlin. The guys at the front desk are polite. The common areas are modern and the rooms and linens were clean. Overall, a good hostel experience.
The place for breakfast was really dirty when i was there. The hostel its too big so it was very noisy and at 8.30 am were playing music loud. They charge you an extra fee for the blankets and the wifo doesnt work in the rooms.

Clean rooms, but the mens toilet from the corridor were not clean in 2 days. Also, the rooms dont have enough plugs for all the beds. That is a MUST!
Nice staff. Good breakfast. Rooms decent size. Wifi wasn't great though and it was quite far from tourist sites.
