The staff were extremely friendly-- we don't speak any french, and they were still able to help us find places to get wifi, good nightlife, etc. Super well connected to the rest of the city, with a metro stop right outside the door. This place doesn't have all the amenities a lot of hostels have, but let's be honest- Paris is one of the most expensive cities in Europe. You get what you pay for. Would definitely recommend to friends.

An excellent choice if you are looking for a cheap hotel. Big room, good location close to the 'metro' and at least satisfacory in all other areas, although a little rough around the edges

The good thing is that it's situated near the centre of Paris. Stop. Uncleaned room, dirty WC, no Tv...No comment!..It was impossible to close the window of the bathroom, and the shower was broken. Fortunately the bed was clean. But not worth the money spent...

There was a hole in the ceiling in our bathroom. There was an awful yellow stain on our mattress which we wsere able to see because we didn't have a fitted sheet. I smelled cigarette smoke the whole stay and I have severe asthma and am now sick because of all the second hand smoke I had to breathe in. There were exposed wires everywhere. I think the prices should be lowered considerably. I will not recommend this hostel to anyone.

Don't stay there if you get it due to damp room and lack of heat. I was ill for 1 week after staying there. Life is too short to stay in such a place, you are better off in a dorm in a hostel.

I like the toilet. It's very outstanding to its living room and other hotels. But there is no WiFi in this hotel. The managers are very kind.

We couldn't sleep because of cold. İnside of room was colder than the outside. Our reservation was for 4 nights but we stayed there for one night, then we changed our hostel. We had to pay for 2 nights also deposits for remaining 2 nights and for another hotel but it was totally worth to it.

If you don't speak French it is a but harder, but the staff is friendly and with gestures and drawings you'll usually find it out. Def worth the money!! Much better than expected!

This hotel is great if you are looking for a budget holiday. As the other reviewers have stated, our room it did have a smell although this disappeared once we used the shower and did not return. The room is minimalist - if you just want somewhere to sleep it's absolutely perfect. Saying that, it also had character. The location of this hotel is perfect - our room was directly above the Metro station Louis Blanc which is a great area with excellent connections. The staff are lovely people.

Good location because it is literally next door to a metro stop. They were going through construction so there was really no one there, rooms were empty, walls were falling apart, new painting going around. No internet but the staff was nice and friendly. Maybe when they are done renovating, this would be a better place to stay in.

This hotel was so dirty and disgusting I couldn't even bear to spend the night. I was appalled by the absolute lack of cleanliness and would advise anyone to avoid this hotel at all costs.

The district is ok, supermarkets are close and metro station very close. The room itself was very dirty: dust and stains on the carpet, mould in the bathroom. In the shower were old hairs and the shower curtain was that dirty that I tried to never touch it. One of the windows was that dirty that you couldn't really look throw. Fortunately the only clean thing was the bed. A nice thing was the french balcony. The hostel was ok for a trip of only 3 nights.

This hotel was terrible and ugly; room and bathroom not really nice, very old, the floor inclined at an angle 15 deg so I was afraid that everything will collapse. During my stay (march 2012) the hotel was during the renovation, so maybe soon will be better.

This hotel was not up to our standards. We paid 125 Euros to stay for one night. The hotel is a bad mess. You can smell bad odors from the time you walk in the front door. The room and washroom was in disrepair. I am not sure if the city inspectors visited lately. However, the place should be condemned. The hotel is also in a bad part of town. Save yourself the headache and do not stay here.
