I really enjoyed my stay at Metropolis Hostel. It's a cozy building located in the historic district, with a terrace embracing the gorgeous view of the strait. The staff are knowledgeable and down to earth. We went on an excellent cruise on Bospherous Strait thanks to their recommendation.

The hostel is not as easy to find as expected as it is located on a small lane, more prominent signage can be placed to point the location of the hostel

the hostel is good located close to many attractions and has a nice view to the sea. The staff were very uninterested about talking or telling us anything. They did not tell us that the breakfast was in another building, and there was no information about it eather. Almost missed it because of that. Breakfast was good though. hard to belive the staff got their "best staff award" that they had hanging.... Rooms okey but very load, woke up because people were talking outside..

The hostel had no kitchen to use! I do not think you should call it a hostel then. The entry area was so small, and tight and really cramped space in the rooms and everywhere. The desk people acted like they did not want to be bothered. I was glad they took me last min. I meet great people there. I would not stay again.

Metropolis Hostel is one of the best one l have stayed in during my recent trip to europe. Location is excellent. Just a few blocks away from all attractions. Tram is just 5 mins walk if you want to visit new town or take a ferry to asian side of istanbul. Roof bar was great place to meet new people and has a beautiful views. Staff was very friendly and helpful. And the best part was the breakfast. For a hostel and for what you pay it was the best one l have had in a hostel. Overall, a terrific

I was disappointed with this hostel, and it wasn't just because I came in the off season. I stayed in the women's dorm with the 4 beds and it is WAYY too small- the only way there's enough room for everyone's stuff is if it fits underneath the 2 bunkbeds, which ours did not and we had to step over everything. Plus, It was cold at night and the lockers were too small to put everything in there. Location is great and the best part was the breakfast, although time is limited to just 8:30-10:00

The location is just perfect. The rooms are really nice and the restaurant is good as well. I guess it's one of the best hostels in Sultanahmet for that price.

An enjoyable stay. Friendly staff and the rooftop bar was a good place to have a drink and meet fellow travelers. Occasionally they put on free shisha. Only negative points were that there was definitely not enough toilets/showers and the rooms had minimal storage space.
