Nice hostel in soltanahmed, location it's could not be better and the view from their roof is unbeatable. Free breakfast was quite nice for a hostel stay, Wi-Fi was available all around hostel and it was free.Their travel desk makes great deals on bus tickets, city tours also they have really cheap transpotation to the airports, cheap drinks are available on their room top bar, its definetly cheaper than any other bar in the main street where the many bars and restaurants located.

Great location, very near to Blue Mosque, Ayasofia and Topkapi Palace! Roof terrace has spectacular view on the Bosporus and also a bit on Ayasofia, we enjoyed it very much. The room was comfortable and cleaned every day. The breakfast is every day the same, could be a bit more diverse. In overall, I would come back any time again!

After our 6 days visit, I can really recommend this place for a stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were generally very clean. The biggest plus of this place is definitely the rooftop bar with its magnificent view over the Bosporus.

This hostel is only 10 minutes walk from the blue mosque and all thats happening on the european side of istanbul, so you save money on transportation. they also have a kick ass deal on shuttles to the airport which is nice, a discount on a turkish hamam which was an AMAZING experience. they didn't mention on hostel world that this hostel can pick you up via shuttle for a travelers price. sheets were clean. bathroom was dry. internet was speedy. staff was helpful. what else do you need?!

The staff were very friendly, and spoke great English. The building smelt a bit musty, probably due to poor air circulation from the bathrooms. Great view from the roof-deck.

This was a good hostel in the center of old city, rooms were good priced and included breakfast was tasty, Wi-Fi was available- free of charge - they have also 2 computers.Staff were friendly and informative, also organize cheap transfers to airports, city tours with good prices, etc..Roof top bar was just lovely and views are incredible. We had enjoyable, great stay.

We stayed here for almost a week and tried to avoid being in the hostel room as much as possible. The shared bathroom was dirty and poorly attended to, my friend and I had to take our own tissues in there for a few days because there was no toilet paper. No hand wash for a few days either. Crappy wifi, very spotty. It's very VERY loud and noisy if you have a room at the top of the restaurant. The main door is very difficult to open. Rude staff. Bed gave us a rash. Won't stay here again.

I SLEEP IN A 6 BED ROOM RATHER BIG. NUMBER OF BATHROOMS AND SHOWERS OF SUFFICIENT.

Well located hostel with a spectecular view from the roof,the hostel runing by superfriendly helpful brothers and they provide great accomodations,free internet was fast and the breakfast was really really good. The drinks on thier roof top bar was cheap compare to other restaurnats/bars in the area so with the perfect view it makes this place just a cool spot to chill out or meet with fellow travelrs, overall it great place to stay in istanbul, I would stay here without any doubt.

The hostel consists of two buildings: the main building is located in a back street and therefore very quiet. However, if you pick one of the rooms in the 2nd building, which is right above the restaurant on he "main street" be prepared for a very noisy night...

it was a nice hostel, closed tu the blue mosque, agia sophia and the topkapi palaca, it's a very nice area full of restaurants and bars. The staff was very kind with us, we booked our bus to cappadoccia, two tours in cappadocia and the balloon, so it ws very useful. The wc and the showers were'nt very clean but you could take a bath and then just enjoy istanbul! so no big problem.

First time in Istanbul and loved it. I guess mostly because of the excellent location and hostel I got. Its safe, clean and at a great location. If I'll be very critical, rooms are very small and hostel is little hard to find. Rest is all positive. I'll recommend anyone to try that.

There should be a common area, other than the rooftop bar where backpackers can stay and mingle. The Internet does not reach the rooftop or the 3rd floor very well. A stronger router should be used.

This was an awesome hostel and we really had awesome time there with  fellow travelers, The breakfast was the best I ever had and the view from the roof is outstanding, The key for the hostel, cleaning , atmosphere, value, staff , roof top bar and definetly location, Special thanks to the staff for organizing pub crawl and free nargelah and to the 2 ladies for the delicious  breakfast & chay

Great hostel amazing staff and lovely breakfast.

I had a great experience. Metropolis has a great location, and really is around the corner from most of the major sights. What's also convenient is that most of the other hostels in the Sultanahmet are on the same street as Metropolis, which is great for meeting fellow travelers. Couldn't ask for a better atmosphere, the rooftop bar is nice and not too overwhelming. Maybe I just got lucky, but all of my hostel mates were really friendly and congenial. One down side; their no outside food policy.

Hostel sits on two parts. A four story old residential building with a charming rooftop bar, and an extra accommodation section across the road above a restaurant. We have stated in both sides. The hostel is old but well maintained. The rooms are spacious with clean beds. The showers are hot and clean. The wifi is unreliable and slow. The two staff members are uninterested. Breakfast is run by two ladies and is very good. Location is behind a bustling food street, excellent location!

Lovely place, quiet rooms, top location!

Fantastic hostel in the center of old city,beautiful terrace overlooking boshphorus & asian side of Istanbul and really good breakfast, rooms were fine and bathrooms clean , staff was really friendly and provide so many information you may need,the social life of the hostel was good , their roof top bar is perfect place to meet with other travelers, I would recommend to do pubcrawl to is so much fun and is a good & safe option for joining istanbul nightlife. Overall we had fantastic time.
