We really enjoyed our stay at the Metropolis; brilliant location (not far from main attractions but far enough away from the crowds), the staff were always very friendly and helpful and the hostel itself was quiet, clean and very hospitibal. It was a great time in a great hostel! Its a good strat to discover the old town and the neares parts of Istanbul. A bautiful view to the sea and asian side, clean rooms and a really familiar atmosphere...we lought a lot with the Staff, always ready for jokes :)

Perfect. A very quirky, well decorated place. The brothers running the Metropolis make you feel genuinely very welcome and they make a concerted effort to get to know everyone. They knew the names of all 10 in my group by day two. The security is complimented by this as well. Spotlessly clean. The roof terrace is peaceful, offers serene views, has all the classic board game sets. You can sit on the roof and check your emails as the sun rises. Breakfast is more than adequate.Perfect.
