The location is just perfect. The rooms are really nice and the restaurant is good as well. I guess it's one of the best hostels in Sultanahmet for that price.

An enjoyable stay. Friendly staff and the rooftop bar was a good place to have a drink and meet fellow travelers. Occasionally they put on free shisha. Only negative points were that there was definitely not enough toilets/showers and the rooms had minimal storage space.

Overall it was a fine hostel, the restaurant was good and the top balcony was perfect. The room was certainly on the small side, but we didn't spend much time there. We also feel like we lost a bit of money by having them book us a cab to the airport. We took a cab there and it cost us 20 lira less than the hostel charged us for transportation. Not that that is a huge amount of money, it was just frustrating.

The location is unbeatable and roof bar is amazing. We had airport transfer and it was very fast and easy service. Our room was very clean and tidy. Cleanning ladies are super friendly people and they make the best breakfast you can get in a hostel. All in all metropolis hostel is an ideal place to stay in istanbul. Great value for money.

Pretty hostel, perfect location. Two things ticked me off: I often came back and the door of our room was wide open. Might not be the hostel fault, but you know. Second, I had to change room at some point, which was ok. But when I got in the new room, I noticed that the linens hadn't been change. I asked the reception and they gave me another set of linens, like they didn't care or as if it happened all the time. Thought that sucked.

Metropolis hostel is very nice , clean and comfortable hostel in old town sultanahmet. Staff was very friendly and helpful and location was unbeatable. Walking distance to major sites in the old city and 5 mins far to tram to explore new town and party area. Great views from roof bar and great breakfasts every morning.

With my 100+ hostel experience this is my review: One of the guys at the reception is arrogant, no possibility to pay by a credit/debit card, noisy/shaky beds (although mattresses comfortable], location is in the Old town but it's a kind of a tourist ghetto, breakfast very nice incl. the service., rooms very small, pricey (accom as well as meals). Few reviews called the hostel to be best of the world but I doubt. Maybe in Istanbul but I cannot judge, this was my only experience there.

Really nice hostel, very friendly and easy-going staff, very well located in a nice area at walkable distance to Sultanahmet and Hagia Sophia. Particular highlight: great view from rooftop terrace, good breakfast and perfect for a drink to start the evening. Not really quiet at night, but that fits well a living city...!
