This is my 3rd time staying here & I'm sure it wont be my last. Great location, close enough to the action but far enough away that it's quiet. Staff very helpful, breakfast & view lovely. Not sure it could be any better!!

Amazing location and lovely and clean with helpfull staff.

Decent, well-run hostel. The rather small rooms were air-conditioned and clean. Awesome roof terrace with view over bosporus, easy to meet fellow travellers. Good and quiet location in Sultanahmet, where most other hostels are situated. You won't regret booking this hostel! Would be even better if they'd allow guests to bring their own food to the roof terrace, since the meals they serve there are not the cheapest and there is no other common room to consume food.

Very clean hostel! safe location and nice building. And very help ful staff.Definitely recomended it!

Really helpful and friendly staff, very clean for a hostel which was great. The location was excellent, with all the major sites within walking distance. The showers were roomy and powerful and clean. Rooftop terrace where the bar is and where breakfast is served has a lovely view. Could have done with more group activities organised to facilitate getting to know other people there (eg walking tours, pub crawls etc). Overall really good hostel to stay at.

Great in every way, but I was let down by the security. The room door we had did not lock when closed, and needed a key every time. Because of this, no one ever bothered to lock the door and it was always unlocked. There are small lockers available, though, so your valuables should be safe if you have your own lock. The front door is always open, and the guy at the desk is usually there, but not always. Despite these issues I still felt safe, and would stay again.

I stayed in metropolis hostel during my istanbul visit. hostel was very nice and clean. l also found the location to be excellent. Lots of good restaurants and bars close by, a block away from mosques and churches. Staff was very friendly and helpful and ladies are making some really good breakfast every morning at beautiful roof terrace with amazing sea view. Next time in istanbul l will def stay at metropoliS!
