Well, I paid about 8 euros, but without cooking facilities, with a bathroom which was a pain to use during the extreme cold we had in Europe in 2012, I pretty much got what I paid for.

At first we were scared a little bit because of most of the comments left in hostelworld. It is kind of a shady looking hostel, but the staff was REALLY helpful, i was really surprised by that. The breakfast is not the best but starting the morning with something warm is a plus, and the bathroom is really really big, but it's shared. Also, no kitchen or anything of the sorts, still, we spent one night there and had a blast.

We had a little problem with the heater in the morning but when we asked help from the management they immediately attend to it, the location is near to the city and metro

got there, hung around for a bit, tried to talk to the staff who seemed to be drunk and were giggling all the time, other girls who stayd there told us we should better go because staff were creepy, staff kept the room keys, no lockers or anything, no proper information given by staff, only "wait for my friend ..., he knows" - which the friend didn't. we then left, and we're not norally fussy about hostels.

The place is called hotel Emmy not hostel Emmy. made it confusing to find. no sign out the front and the buttons to ring through didn't have hotel/hostel Emmy on then it just had something in Italian then Emmy. had to guess?? beds had bed bugs we were bitten a lot. they went into our locked rooms, wasn't discussed with us. didn't feel my stuff was safe. 1 bathroom for up to 30 people. shower was crappy. meant to be 24 reception, we checked out at 5am spent 15mins ringing the bell- he was asleep

Disliked: very bad service, flooded bathroom, no lockers inside the rooms, staff partying inside the hostel during sleeping hours, breakfast not included (despite stated in my booking list). One day we went back to the hostel to drop our purchases and nobody was available to let us in, so we had to wait for 3 hours sitting on the cold stairs (if the other hotel didn't open the front door for us, we would have to wait outside in the rain). Liked: location, comfy bed. Wouldn't go back.

Terrible. The staff didn't speak neither italian nor english.. nothing in the room worked. Breakfast was asked by 8.10 and at 8.40 I was still waiting (and I had to go to work..)

We arrived to find out that the Hotel Emmy was closed and didn't know what to do as we had a confirmation of our booking. Thankfully there was another, very funky hotel, in the same location that provided us a room for the night. Not impressed by not being notified that the Hotel was shut down - it was a bit stressful

Ok if you're looking for a very quiet place but we found it too quiet. Hot water was not functioning and staff were not very approachable. Clean and comfortable rooms.

Had to wait for 40 min in the reception for the only staff member who spoke English to arrive. He told me that the bathroom was broken and gave me the directions to another hostel, Ostello Milano. I had to ask for directions twice to find it and when I got there the receptionist told me they didn't have mixed dorms, so I had to pay for a more expensive private room to stay in the same room as my boyfriend. I emailed them and hope they'll give me back the money I payed for the reservation I made.

With Italian sign language from the wonderful staff, I found out there was only cold water in the shower. It was in a noisy location, but easily found from the metro stop. Old building and elevator, and plain rooms. Good on a budget but other than the staff, not much else.

1 toilet for 2 floors while I was there. Not good. Since there was no hot water upstairs people had showers in the bathroom downstairs leaving everyone else without a toilet. The owner takes a €10 deposit for the key he doesn't let you take with you. Rendering the deposit pointless. I also didn't get mine back as I had to leave at 7am and there was no one at reception when I left. Lovely night lady, although she does not speak a word of English. Owner is not friendly/helpful and far from fluent.

Very nice and clean. Really can advise to everybody. For football fans - only 10 minutes by walk to San Siro

My stay in Milano was excellent thanks to this nice hostel and the helpful staff (in particular, the lady that work at night). The bed was OK, but there were some noises from a washbasin in the room that woke me up one night.

Rooms are in very bad condition - old and dirty. There is unreasonable deposit for the room. Even though they make you keep quiet, it was very noisy at night. The location is good and the stuff is nice though they don't know English. To sum up, won't visit it again.

Door is hard to open n make a lot of sound. Only 1 powersocket working n the others are not working. Staff refused to allow me to put my luggage at the reception for a few hours after checkout. An average hostel with free wifi.
