Very friendly staff were welcoming. I travelled alone, and reserved 10 mixed domitory room because there was only this option left, but they moved to 5 female dormitory room were very kind. When checking out, staff offered a breakfast before I leave early(juice and croissant)I would come back to Hostel Emmy in next visit, haven`t experience any inconvenience.

This is not a hostel or hotel, it´s just an apartment whose rooms/beds are rented for guests. Run by an Egyptian family. If there´s any problem they will treat guests very badly. We arrived 1 hour before check-in time and they literally kicked us out of the common area. We overheard problems with other guests too. Zero manners, let alone hospitality. Location very far from downtown, but close to the Metro at least. Room and sheets were clean. Common bathroom, only one for everybody

There was only one toilet and one shower for the entire hostel. The shower (bathtub/combi) is full of lime and nearly any water was coming out. Electricity outlet was open, no sealing cover/ what so ever. The outside window was cracked The staff didn't allow use to use the toilet when we came to pick up our bags No lockers available on group rooms. Reception charged an additional $2 for paying otherwise than cash, which is a lot and unexpected.

This hostel worked well for my group because we were just staying in Milan overnight, and it provided a bed to sleep on. However, had I been in Milan for a couple of days sight seeing I would have like a hostel with a younger, more exciting atmosphere.

While it had a good location for a hostel in Venice it wasnt anything special. Uncomfortable beds and no hot water. Having to take the key back everytime you went out and the lack of english understanding staff got quite frustrating. Also they said there was a hotel safe but then when I asked to put some stuff in there they would only hold it behind the counter.

Milan Emmy Hostel doesn't offer a breakfast nor some place around to buy food, or even to cook. Staff barely knows English, so sometimes it's impossible to have a communication with them. And there are no lockers in the rooms.

BE AWARE!I booked the hostel and they told me they had rooms available but One day before my arrival they sent me an e-mail that the booking was cancelled and they left me without hotel! They never gave my deposit back. I tried to contact them but they dont answer my e mails or anything. Be careful before you book the hotel, they are cheaters.

Because of construction work our room was not available anymore. Finally we were added to another room. Luckily we knew the people in the room. Not a nice place. Awfully old and not well maintained. Hostel in Milan are not good in general I have seen.

Very polite lady working there.. think she's the owner's wife. If you are going to San Siro, this is a very near location... will surely use it in the future. Thanks :)

i think it not so bad for money. that you have to give the key back to the owner everytime you go out is a little bit troublesome and the elevator is a little bit scary. and breakfast is not so good but better than nothing, i think. the owneres are very kind and friendly. there is a supermarket near it.

The room was comfortable for the price but is very hard to manage using the bathroom which is only one for all the rooms! Would be better to have more toilets and showers. Coming back later at night is difficult because there is no 24 hours service.

They were beautiful! Even though I was late and they canceled my reservation, they gave me a great deal and a wonderful room with breakfast! Thank you!

Well, I paid about 8 euros, but without cooking facilities, with a bathroom which was a pain to use during the extreme cold we had in Europe in 2012, I pretty much got what I paid for.

At first we were scared a little bit because of most of the comments left in hostelworld. It is kind of a shady looking hostel, but the staff was REALLY helpful, i was really surprised by that. The breakfast is not the best but starting the morning with something warm is a plus, and the bathroom is really really big, but it's shared. Also, no kitchen or anything of the sorts, still, we spent one night there and had a blast.
