Hostelworld says:
Hostelworld guests have said Milhouse Avenue is 'a great place to be if you don't know what to see in Buenos Aires' because it's 'definitely a social hostel'. One traveller told us 'the staff are so friendly and helpful and make it feel like a home away from home even though there is a crazy party vibe most nights'. This hostel has daily tours and activities and a number of booking deals here on Hostelworld.
Property Information:
Welcome to Milhouse Avenue!!!
We’re housed in a beautifully restored 1905 mansion and located on one of the most important avenues in the city – Avenida de Mayo.
We feature modern facilities and luxurious rooms, all with private bathrooms.
This hostel resembles a boutique hotel, the real difference being the price tag!
Inside there are different areas to suit all needs and preferences - you can relax on the roof terrace with a refreshing cocktail or simply chill out on one of the many sofas and watch TV, read a book or use the internet.
We also have a large bar area which is perfect for meeting fellow travellers, watching various sports events, playing pool, using the book exchange or having a bite to eat from our tasty food menu.
But the true asset of Milhouse Avenue is the friendly, well informed and energetic team we have working here. Typical Porteños, we’re passionate about helping you discover our city.
Every day, fun and entertaining trips are arranged to make your BA experience unique and unforgettable. By day we offer trips around the city (walking, by bike or minivan), on-site Spanish classes, Argentinean cookery classes, the amazing football match experience, a polo lesson or a tango class amongst many others. By night, we host an array of fun entertainment, whether that be live bands, our parties, open-mic nights or quiz and games nights.
This is the perfect place to get warmed up before heading out to eat at one of our delicious steak restaurants or going to one of the many nightclubs the city has to offer.

I think our guests really appreciate the extras we offer. We've got organised entertainment every day and every night, our facilities are superior to most hostels, we've got a bar that offers a full breakfast (great after the hangover!) and yummy snacks all day long, plus we have customised walking tours and tango lessons for our guests.

We're close to the government house, Congress, the main square in Buenos Aires, bars, restaurants and museums. I recommend that everyone definitely checks out a football game while they're here, too!
I'd say our hostel is ideal for backpacking friends, flashpacking couples and solo travellers looking for a highly social hostel with lots of entertaining activities.
We have one room with the appropriate measures and facilities for wheel chair and people with special needs. Our doors are wide enough and we have a lift.- Melina, Owner

Double room very spacious, request the 5th floor is possible as a lot if noise travels up through the open area between floors. Lots of tours available through the hostel and things to do every day. Perfect location for stay in bueno aires and staff were very helpful! Breakfast was only alright though. No alcohol is allowed to be brought in from outside as hostel have their own bar, beers were relatively cheap at 35pesos for two pints. Look for UGIs pizza for cheap eats, only two blocks away!
