Outstanding atmosphere, staff really helpful from people at the door, the reception desk and the bar

The only con is that my non-smoking room smelled cigarettes. There is a security man at the door, there are cameras on the floor. They offer tours, the one to La Boca is perfect. Also the Tango Show Lessons tuat they sell. Parties everyday or at Hipo or at Avenue. Staff is so friendly!

Great stay at Milhouse hostel. Lots of young people on a regular weekend. Great place to go.

Great hostel especially for solo travellers, there's always something going on, parties, activities and the like. Very good location, close to everything, found it so easy to meet new people here! Overall, I had a great time here :)

Very good party hostel but lacks in all other areas. If you want to party stay here!! As most of the milhouse parties are held here! But if you want a quality hostel with good facilities Hipo is average!! Happy travels!!

At times during the night there was loud noise, but only from guests going in and out of rooms, you couldn't really hear the parties downstairs. Kitchen is basic but better than none at all. Bar prices were higher than other bars in the area which is a bit annoying given you can't bring alcohol in. Good location & lots of activities, although we didn't take part in any because we never got up in time!

Really liked this hostel, most staff are friendly and helpful. Always something to do and hostel arranges a lot of things which is good. The food at the hostel is good . I'd say the drinks could be cheaper at the bar though. You can't take your own beer here yet a can from the shop is 10pesos and a beer from the bar is 30 pesos. It's not a lot of money really but when you are traveling it all adds up.

Good hostel, the only annoying thing was no wifi in the rooms.

Very good place to stay if your young and wanting to party in Buenos Aires, also buenos aires is the best party city that I have been to in South America so far on my trip. Very helpful staff! There are two Milhouse's, avenue and Hipo. They alternate the party's between the two so doesn't matter which one you stay at, Avenue is a little bigger so if you care stay at that one.

Didn't live up to the hype. Location good for the metro but not ideal for getting to the clubs. Prices to get into the clubs were not overly affordable despite them being, apparently, available to Milhouse guests at a "discounted rate". We thought we'd get a free night (a la Loki/Wild Rover) but were told on check in the offer "wasn't available" - despite it being the first thing mentioned on their Hostelworld page! Felt conned. Wifi throughout the building was consistently appalling.

Everything you want in a hostel, great atmosphere, heaps of organized tours/activities and it wasn't as loud as we were expecting. The breakfast wasn't flash but overall an excellent stay.

great place everyone is super friendly and helpful, near everything you need

Really liked this hostel - lots going on, and a nice atmosphere. Would expect some power sockets in the rooms (there were none). And I wish more hostels would put in good bunk beds - not the flimsy ones here that shake every time you move.

not a lot of utensils in the kitchen, but that doesn´t matter because the only reason to stay here is for the parties. the parties are awesome. do not stay here if you don´t like to party.

Had fun but I thought it was gonna be more of a party hostel.... Didn't like how they make u leave at 2 to go clubbing.... Wen the party was allready at the hostel.... Other then that... Go n party there guys.... Adam, Sydney Australia

Party aspects aside, this is a very efficiently run hostel with excellent and fluent staff. The pleasure of being based in a grand old colonial house only adds to the grandeur of a well-positioned hostel. Great facilities, good bar and food too. Evening and daytime events (If you want it) are easy to organise and good fun. Though it's a party hostel the rooms are far away from the loud lobby so it caters well to all. I would stay here again.

Simply put, you must stay here. The smaller of the two hostels but in my opinion better. The basics they have done right, the showers are hot (and I never had to wait), the rooms clean, the beds comfortable, the security spot on. The extras they have done even better, the day trips available are varied (tango, walk tours, bike tours, even polo) and the reputation of the partying doesnt let it down. If you arent a party person, don't be put off as the rooms are still quiet

Party hostel!!! Really clean and nice, big lockers for your stuff, breakfast was a lil above average, like I said party hostel. My last morning we got back from the clubs just in time for breakfast and there was a family with some kids there that were giving us wierd looks. They have parties every night at one of the 2 milhouse hostels and then sell you wristbands to certain clubs. Highly reccommend doing the Tango Completo, it was an awesome experience and the food was great too.

Most fun hostel I stayed in while in South America. Was here for 4 nights and I was absolutely exhausted afterwards. Staff are nice and helpful and even have a few drinks with you sometimes. Location is ideal, only had to get taxis when going to clubs. Buenos Aires has the craziest nightlife out of anywhere I've ever been so if you're going for that then Milhouse is where you wanna be. Rooms are far enough away from the party that you can sleep in peace too if you want. Awesome.

Please be aware this is a party hostel and can be very noisy into the early hours of the morning - even if you stay in a private room. There appears to be no noise policy for the hostel. This happened each night of our stay and we don't mind a party but not where and when we are trying to recharge finally. The noise no matter where you were would travel through the building disturbing you no matter what The private room felt expensive when you can find a hotel Buenos Aires for the same price.
