I stayed two nights, the place is very nice, rustic place but the ambience is international which gives character to the place. The food is really good and at a very fair price. The internet conection is great. I would definitely stay there if i came again to NAirobi. I have heard about stories of 4 star hotels which are located in the city center whch is a very annoying area but the hostel is located just beside several embassies in a very nice area.

The dogs seem to be the kings in this hostel and are begging food while eating, peeing in the corridor and sleeping anywhere.

Nice overall but very expensive for what we received. We have stayed in a lot nicer and friendlier hostels for half the price! The restaurant is very basic and only serves one meal for dinner at night. Security was fantastic and the guy behind the bar is damn funny :) Needed taxis everywhere as too far to walk to anything and not that safe

Nice place to stay at a low cost. Showers were fine and worked. Mosquito nest were provided. The was a little cramped, but other than that I can't really complain.

Its'a nice place to stay and its well connected to all other places in Nairobi. It's located at very prime area and surrounded by Embassies and some Banks. Very neat and clean place, staff is also helpful.

I stayed on here when I first arrived in Nairobi and the staff was completely unhelpful in answering my questions about logistics and getting around. Other than that, the facilities are decent.

Good security, good location. Good place to meet people, nice staff but internet was down, beds were not good and mosquito nets were ripped and there was only one when there were two beds. Food was ok, kind of far to walk anywhere although of course, its not recommended. It was pretty loud the night we stayed, probably because it was a saturday....but it was annoying.

Besides some awful advice from staff about where to go for diner & drinks, the hostel was friendly inviting & relatively clean.

The staff was wonderful, the very best part of the stay. They went out of their way to be helpful in a most positive way.

I had a wonderful stay in the 8 bed dormitory. No bed bugs! Extremely helpful and friendly staff. The area outside with the restaurant was cool, a fireplace and all.

Forgot to pick me up in the airport (was good, because I easily found a cheaper taxi). In the hostel there wasn't power/generator, mosquito net full of holes and a smelly dog sleeping in one of the beds all night. When I tried to kick it out of the room I was bitten. I told the reception and they laughed at me. Sometimes no toilet paper, Internet is extra and unreliable, bedbugs and expensive laundry. Near there is a hairdresser (in Sagret Hotel), 3 times more expensive if you are a white person

we arrived from airport at 4 am- airport pick up went well. we stayed in the 8 person dorm (by ourselves due to our late arrival) The dorm was dirty, the kind of place where you check the sheets before you lay down and keep your suitcase well zipped. The 'staff' were outside our room and, despite the time, they were very loud and it was difficult to sleep. Door lock didnt work and door didnt close, no working shower, high level of traffic noise. The cabins did look ok in the morning light

Location on the Map is wrong: Milimani Backbackers is located at Milimani Rd, only 3 Bus station from the Main Post Office to the west, approximately 25 minutes walk to the city center (passing the Seventh Day Adventist Church. It’s nice and easy stay, with a lot of god information’s!

Great place to stay. The hostel is located a bit outside downtown nairobi, but the 20-25 minute walk is pretty nice. Staff were very friendly/helpful. The only negative was that the room I stayed in had VERY thin walls so I kept waking up to the hostel dog parking, or the raging club next door.

Loved the place. Easy to meet people. About 20 min walk away from the town. Rooms were cleaned daily. Food was also good (the fish was amazing) Would stay there again.

This is a really good location for female travellers heading through Nairobi, the security is good and it's fairly easy to get in to town. Book ahead though, the place was packed with a large US tour group when we arrived so I had to sleep in a large tent with about 12 other people, it was cold enough to need a sleeping bag!
