was in room 118. was a four bedroom. the room was great and had best wifi strength than other 4bedroom rooms. the nearest bathroom is great but chilly during winter. but i could use the other shower facilities. very convenient to get to thesubway and restraunts. could use a common kitchen...doesnt have one but a small cafe and some food is provided. alla in all i would say, excellent. esp for the price.

Nothing special about the hostel, but a good clean bed and clean bathrooms. The location is very close to the metro and the airport link, which was very convenient. It worked perfectly for our short stay!

Very nice location, very clean, cheap beer, nice helpfull and english speaking staff. Nothing to complain about except the lack of lockers in the rooms.

We had a great time in the hostel. The subwaystation is nearby. So you can reach all the sighseeing places easily. The staff speaks basic english, so they can't help you with everyting, but they try to help you the best. The room and the facilities were OK. For the price we have payed, you can't say anything against the hostel!

Great reception staff that were friendly. We had a pleasant stay in our free upgrade, thank you!

A nice, quiet hostel with an inviting courtyard right in the middle of the hutong's. Great atmosphere and a good location near the Lama Temple. Plenty of restaurant options nearby, comfortable beds, hot showers. Would stay again.

Location is very good, close to the subway and Drum Tower. The place is wide and pretty cosy, with a nice yard to hang around. And the price is good for Beijing.

The bathroom was really clean, and if you don't watch at the bedroom's wall the room was also clean. The staff is not friendly at all. Each time I had a question I felt like I was bother them.

There is a nice doggy in the hostel. Everybody loves the dog named Shishi.

Fine for a few nights. Great courtyard. Staff are friendly enough. Annoying that the lockers need a one Yuan coin everytime you lock them. Over priced food, but why eat in the hostel when there are so many Huton cafés right next door. I'd stay again.

The room had a weird smell when we went in. After the air was one it cleared out though.

Great hostel! Nice location, good facilities and amazing staff. Will definitely stay in Ming Courtyard next time when I go to Beijing!

The Ming Courtyard is definitely off the main tourist track. The subway is easy to navigate so for the price, the location is a compromise we were willing to make. As a whole the staff weren't particularly friendly, the premises weren't very clean and the facilities were basic. We enjoyed out stay all the same. You definitely get what you pay for.

Staff could speak only basic English, no lockers inside the room and anyway you have to pay 1yuan EVERY time you open one (I know is very little but it was annoying, especially if you forgot something and had to open it again), the dorm was large but somehow lacked any sort of ventilation so it could get very warm.... the location is great though and the courtyard is a nice place to hang out with other travelers.

This place is cheap but quite ok. I stayed in a 12 bed room which was a little far from the bathrooms but not a big problem. Would probably go back again.

great hostel in an excellent location. The hostel is located in the hutong area which is great for seeing how the beijing locals live and work. The facilities are kept clean and the beds are comfortable. Staff speak basic english but are helpful to their best ability. The courtyard is great to relax and unwind in and has a great atmosphere. Excellent place for meeting people. Some great local eats within walking distance and subway only a short walk. Would stay here again.

We arrived quite late only to find that they had lost out booking and that everything was full. However we wouldn't leave and somehow the guy found a bed in the end.. The 10 bed dorm was almost empty though! The staff was generally unhelpful and rude.. So sad considering the very charming hostel.
