Ming's Dynasty Hostel is found in the historical city of Chengde, the perfect place for a retreat away from big city life, as Qing dynasty emperors discovered over 200 years ago!
Ming's Dynasty is Chengde's first hostel. It's located several minutes walk from the main train station, near Wulie River. Ming's Dynasty has recently relocated and is working together with Huilong, a 3 star hotel. Now you can enjoy the convenience of a hostel with the luxury of a hotel!
All hostel rooms include air-conditioning, TV, internet access, and ensuite bathroom. There is also a bar & restaurant on-site where guests can relax, swap books, and enjoy a drink while meeting new friends.
Visiting Chengde's UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Summer Mountain Resort and Eight Outer Temples, can easily be done by bus or taxi. Information is provided for free at hostel check-in.

Latest Review
This hostel is in fact an average 2-3* hotel. There are no real communal facilities such as a bar or common room. Only KTV which plays very loud music all night. The staff don't speak English and are not the same people that answer the email enquiries in English. The location is fine, very near the train station and easy to get into town but only if you speak Chinese as the map and information provided by the hostel are very basic. Positives: the rooms are comfortable and breakfast is included.
