Staff were friendly and helpful despite limited ability to speak English. I arranged for a pickup at the train station through email and found them waiting for me when I arrived. Even though check-in wasn't until 3 pm they allowed me to drop my bags in my room at the Minshuku. The dinner was very tasty and filling (2300 yen). Rooms come with a large coin-operated safe that costs 100 yen. The location is within a few minutes walk of the old (interesting) section of town.
