Unfortunately due to some miscommunication in email we did not have our dinner prepared by the lodge. Other than that, overall the place is comfortable at great value. We had a great stay at Narusawa Lodge, Kiyoko made our stay very pleasant. Although it's a good 15 min away from the train station Kiyoko picked us up and took us to the station with her cute Mini Cooper so we wouldn't have to carry our luggage. Lovely staff. You get a huge room in traditional Japanese style for the price of a dorm in a normal hostel. Nearby onsen. You have to walk a ways to get to the hostel, but that seems true for everything in Nikko. Compared to other hostels and hotels it was similar or closer to the station.Lovely staff. The price was low and everything was great. The staff were very friendly and brought our luggage to the train station when we were ready to finish sightseeing and leave the next day. There was a computer with good internet that guests could use, and there was also a refrigerator, microwave, and water boiler available. The price was low and everything was great.
