This Minshhuku is 15 mins walk from the station. This means that it is in a peaceful area and we had the sound of the river outside our window. The owner is very welcoming. He will drive his guests to a local onsen, in the forest, each evening. That was a wonderful experience. The restaurant he recommended was not such a success but we really enjoyed our stay there and wholeheartedly recommend it. You will have a flavour of real Japanese living. Our room was large and comfortable. Great choice!

The room was very comfortable. Yuji and his employee are super nice and cool. They took care of us very well. At the beginning we were a bit disappointed when we realised the place was a bit far from the station (around 15-20 min by walk) but the house is very cosy and the friendliness of Yuji made our stay to be very worth. He gave us a free ride to the station, onsen and temples area. We were so lucky to find such a nice place to stay!

Yuji-san was our best host in Japan. He's very knowledgeable about the area, offered to take us to the local Hot Springs in his van, and sat and talked with us until late. The next day he drove us the short distance to the train station. I can't wait to go back.

Everything except the location was excellent. It feels like home staying there.

Easily walkable from the station. Close to the nature trails to the temple area. My friend was thrilled at the monkies which climbed the telegraph poles and trooped across the bridge in the morning. Would go again.

We stayed 3 nights at Narusawa Lodge and it feels like home. Yuji is very attentive and he clean our rooms daily. When there's big group of people checking in, he make sure we are in aafe hands and everything are in order. The location of this lodge is good. A short walk is always welcome. Yuji gave us a ride to the station when we checked out. We were very grateful with this nice gesture, especially with luggages in tow. We hope to come again soon.
