This is without a doubt one of the very best places I have stayed in Korea. The owners know the true meaning of hospitality and beats other nearby hostels. I cannot recommend this place strongly enough.

Rindo-no-ie is a beautiful hostel with extremely kind staff and wonderful rooms. The facilities are great, and make one want for nothing. The surrounding scenery is pleasant, with a nearby forested river area that provides plenty of opportunities for peaceful walks and photo shoots. Local buses are a little out of the way, but this sacrifice seems inconsequent when considering the scenic beauty. The staff are always willing to help, and provide countless resources and information.

Rindo-no-ie is by far one of the best places we've ever stayed and a highlight of our japan trip. The owner and his wife will pick you up from the train station and make you feel so welcome. They are some of the nicest people I've ever met in my entire life. The rooms are impeccably clean and you really get a feel of traditional japanese living. It is only an easy 10 minute walk to the center of town. If I went back to Nikko again, I would stay here in a heartbeat.

We loved this hotel, mainly because of the amazing staff. They were so kind and welcoming. And both Western and Japanese style breakfasts were amazing!

our hosts were so wonderful and they went out of their way to take care of us. delightful tatami room with futons, tea and thermos of hot water. transportation from (and back to) train station (by the way, when they say "car-number", they mean license plate number...). we will definitely stay at this minshuku when we return to nikko!!

It felt as though we were staying in a home with friends. Everything was so personal and friendly. Our room was excellent and the meals were superb. We were picked up at the station (in the rain) and when we left a friend of the family took us back to the station.

I can't praise this highly enough. If you want to try a traditional Japanese guest house come here. The hosts Keiko and Shizu couldn't have been more helpful and even collected me from the station.
