The building was beautiful and felt very welcoming. We immediately felt at home and also enjoyed the closeness to a great selection of restaurants and sights on the High street. The owner was incredibly friendly and helped us out in a number of ways. And one can never deny the convenience of free breakfast before a busy day! Overall a wonderful place to stay and well worth a visit.

Very nice and well located . The owner of the hostel always very friendly and helpful, the bed good and the room preserved the external noise . Breakfast is okay . Last night the room next door with 4 screaming teenage girls that stayed hurt , but nothing that has undermined our stay .

There is NO WHERE else you should stay in Edinburgh than the Minto Guest House. The staff is extremely nice and helpful and will make your stay even better. The location is ideal, a very short and easy bus ride from the city center. The facilities are very, very nice, I felt like I was staying at a nice hotel. The staff called a taxi for me, gave me very specific directions to places, and great recommendations on places to eat. Stay here for sure!
