location is good. just need to bring the luggage along the 30 degree road, and finally u need to carry ur luggage up the stairs! the staff are not too helpful, don't seem too eager to help. but i do like the sea view very much. with this good veiw, the room is actualy quite cheap!!! i like the private kitchen too.

Not your average backpacker/hostel. Basically its a shared house. Think there were only 10-12 rooms. Really friendly people. A mix of short and mid term lets. 5 - 10 mins walk to Southbank. Would definately stay again.

Absolutely gorgeous place - like a stately home!! Twin room turned out to be a bunk, but the place was really clean, with lovely leather couches in the big sitting room, a big kitchen, a PS3 (!!!) and FREE INTERNET!! Not a backpacker place, more of a student house, but a really nice place to stay, walking distance (10 mins) from South Bank and (15mins) from CBD and around the corner from West End. Recommended!

Great place if coming from a long flight jetlagged like I was to just check in, rest up and head to the City Centre at night. Overall bathrooms were clean free wifi and quiet hostel. Downside is the walk to the nearest station or to CBD.

Had a room on my own at the lower floor, right next to the bathroom. Hostel looks very nice, big living room and kitchen. Nice veranda with view on Brisbane city. Staff was helpful to direct me to the hostel in the evening...;o) Bathroom enterior downstairs was, let's say, unique! Would stay again.

This was a charming house with a calm, friendly and informal atmosphere. But the walls are paper-thin, and the standard of hygiene in the communal areas was poorly maintained: because the residents vary in their tidiness and the staff only appear to clean once a week.

Really lovely quiet place, but if you want to party not the place for you. Really near westend with nice restaurants and bars.Really liked it as a place to relax. Room was a good single room but could hear all the conversation from next door and in the kitchen in the morning!Has students residents who are doing there own thing so not really a backpacker place.Just what I was looking for!

Fantastic place, Nathan was very helpful and courteous. We wanted to stay another night but the place was fully booked. Location is the only downside, i highly recommend hailing a cab from Roma St station to the hostel because it is a tough walk even without cases!!!

This was quite a good hostel but I was a bit puzzled when I checked into my 'private room' to discover that it was basically a closed off section of a larger room. I was basically paying a premium for having a couple of cupboards and a bit of plywood in between me and various other guests - not really that private! The staff were friendly and helpful though, and this was one of the only places I went in Australia with free Internet.
