Nice quiet place, no noise during daytime or nighttime. Staff is laid back and good of trust. Liked the livingroom with the Chesterfields and a lot of information about what to do in Brisbane.

Do yourself a favor: DON'T GO HERE!!! Unless you are a student and trying to find a place. It IS actually a student house and not the please for travelers. It is really, really dirty. You don't know what to touch, it's all sticky and there is a bad bad smell. At the pictures it looks nice, but that is fake. When you book a private room because you saw the photo on the site, you end up in a bunk bed. And once there, you don't change is because it is not close to other accommodation. Avoid!!

Great place to stay. Gorgeous house. I was an international student staying there for awhile while I found a permanent place to live. No complaints except that it was a little hard to get to UQ from here. The Internet was great although the wifi didn't work after a few days. Has Cable, and a gorgeous patio. I would gladly stay here again.

Minto has a nice deck on the front of the house where people often gather & network. There was no one at the house to check me in when I arrived at 6:00 at night and there was no indication of where I was to stay. They did come 3 hours later to do this, but by that time I had sorted myself out. At times it was hard to access the bathrooms. I would stay there again. The atmosphere was good & the people were friendly.

Very wonderful colonial house in a nice and quite part of the city. Easy to park and also internet (wifi) free. Lovely place to relax after some other noisy hostels.

Very tidy and convenient to South Bank. Bunk was comfortable and the desk very useful. I am however still awaiting the tax/GST invoice I requested.

Their booking system is completely inefficient. Upon arrival I was told that the hotel was full and that they could not find my reservation. Alternatively, they found a room in a nearby low-cost backpacker hotel.
