Quite near to train station. A bit difficult to communicate as the staff did not know to speak english. Clean and quite a small room.
It is an older style accommodation. When you first arrive turn right out of the train station, on the tourist office side, head towards a Seven Eleven, take the road opposite, 10 secs and it's on your left (brown building). Its a 2hr bus trek to Mount Fuji, but we liked the jounery as you got to see Japan/culture. The staff were friendly, cheap and basic.
don`t miss staying here. very clean, convenient and 8 minutes walk from the station. the town has beautiful parks and a boardwalk/bollard path in the middle of a stream, with signs in english showing names of plants, flowers and birds. very good value.
Even though the hotel seemed quite nice and is reasonably priced, the main thing we use a hotel for - sleeping, was not a pleasant experience. The air conditioning was ineffective and there were either bed bugs or big mosquitoes in the room. The en-suite bathroom was really small, even for me (height 168 cm).
